He was excellent! I recall him playing some of what I've heard of his
recent 'In the Morning Twilight' live CD - mostly new works, I think.
One of his new tunes has definite echoes of a Basho tune that I can't
remember the name of. Certainly his next release is looking interesting!
I think he also played some of 'Waters in Azure', although I'm not
certain since I don't have that one. On that note, I wonder what other
releases of his you and the group would recommend. I only have 'Rivers
and Bridges', which I like a lot. I'm quite curious about the records
from the '90s.
