Re: [robbiebasho_forum] Re: Guitar Soli song use

Hi Robbie,

Thanks so much for the links!  There seems to be such a complicated chain of ownership, that I didn't know where to begin, but now I do!

I would like to use Chung Mei, as the whistling intro is perfect for my film, which can sorta be described as the spaghetti western meets film noir.  It's about a drifting cowboy who crosses paths at a remote roadside motel with a bewitching young woman.

Thanks again!

Fingers crossed,
Mark

A page on licensing:

and a page on Guitar Soli:

I hope this helps.

What track were you thinking of using for your film anyway? What is the film about?
Sounds intriguing.

All the best,
Robbie

Good Day, I am an independent filmmaker, and I've just made a short film that I'd like to use one of Robbie's songs in (from the "Guitar Soli" album). Any...

I wonder too. Perhaps he was having a rough time with it. Here's reference to it in the Frets article: "You said once that you tend to think of the guitar as...

Yes, $200+ was too much for me as well :( On the upside, my stupidly high bid probably meant that the guy (a German collector of psych lps etc) that got it in...
