From Bill Gee @ Home Stage:

Home Stage Presents: Voices for Peace Night, May 12th, 8PM

Home Stage is a small music venue out of an art gallery in Mount Holly, NJ.
We are dedicated to providing high-quality performances by local and
regional singer/songwriters in a wonderfully intimate and beautiful setting.
Our main gallery space is in a 150-year old house in the historic
Mill RaceVillage of downtown Mount Holly. Our space holds 35 people, which is
perfect for an intimate performance that is not unlike listening to your
favorite performer doing a live show right in your own living room.

Come join us for an intimate musical experience that you know only Home
Stage can deliver as local musicians offer their original musical talents on
topic of War, Peace, and Reconciliation.

Two years ago, we were inspired by a speech given by His Holiness, the Dali
Lama at an event at Rutgers University. In His unprepared remarks, he spoke
candidly on the topic of War, Peace and Reconciliation. We have chosen three
local musicians who have made this message a central theme in their music.

Traditional Folk musician Tom Mullian has been performing extensively in the
greater Philadelphia area, armed with his signature gourd guitar,
bringing his message of Peace and the truth as he sees it regarding the Iraq
War. Mantra-pop musician Robin Renee is quickly becoming a local
favorite among practitioners of yoga as she brings her message of
inner-peace to new audiences proving that "mantra" does not mean
"boring."  New Folk musician Carol Barbieri has had her share of
adversity throughout her life, and brings her message of reconciliation to
audiences.

Tickets for this event are $15 each and may be purchased at the Home Stage
website (
www.homefineart.org/homestage.htm) or at Home Fine Art Gallery, 2
Church Street, Mt. Holly.

To help the cause of Peace throughout the world, the profits from this
event, Home Stage will donate the profits to Vermont based charity World
Learning Inc. Founded in 1932 as The Experiment in International Living,
World Learning is one of the oldest private, nonprofit, international
educational organizations in the world. All World Learning programs -
education, training, study abroad, international exchange and international
development - are designed to provide learning experiences that lead to
greater understanding and cooperation between people, communities and
nations drawn closer by the forces of globalization. Through distinctive
educational methods based on experiential learning and the integration of
theory and practice, World Learning's major operating units - The Experiment
in International Living, the School for International Training, and World
Learning for International Development - build knowledge, develop leaders
and effect change. More information can be found at
