What is "The Sound of Q?" - A New PGN Music Column by Singer/Songwriter
Robin Renée!

Good news! I am going to be writing a monthly music column for PGN. The
first one will be out in this Friday's paper (2/7/03) and will appear online
at www.epgn.org. I wrote a bit about Doug Pinnick of King's X, since they
are coming to the North Star on 2/12.

The column's focus will be on both independent and better-known LGBTI
artists.
For now, I am mostly interested in working up stories that have a relatively
direct reference to Philadelphia- an artist who will be appearing there, an
artist from the area, any insight on what is important in the Philly queer
music experience, etc. Given the current state of the world, I've been
thinking a lot about doing my next article on queer musicians' responses to
war. Your suggestions are appreciated.

There is a great site called Poets Against The War. I've posted a poem,
along with over 3,000 other poets, that will hopefully be visible to all
soon. National Day of Poetry Against the War is coming up on February 12th.
