Hey, you spaced-out Kats and Kits. Captain Zorikh here.
For those of you that are crossover fans of Sci-Fi and blues music, WUSB, the
radio station of SUNY Stony Brook, had its weekly sci-fi show play blues and
related music from such artists as myself, Emerald Rose, The Boogie Knights,
Laurence Rosenthal, Tim Russ, Jim Byrnes, Robert Rodriguez, Taj Mahal, and Dick
Hyman. I was actually honored by opening the show, in honor of the new Star
Wars: The Clone Wars movie. They played my “Stormtrooper Blues,” which is on
both of my latest CD's, “The Death Star Repairmen: Another Night in Mos Eisley”
and “The Three Chord Monte Strikes Again 1.5.” It is immediately followed by a
spoof of Elvis' “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Dungeon Blues” from the Boogie Knights.
It goes on from there.
You can hear the broadcast anytime at

“Currently available episodes” and click on the grey stripe below the picture of
the Max Rebo band, the blue furry guy from “Monsters, Inc,”, the blue diva from
“5th Element,” and the blue lady jedi who got fragged in Episode III. Oh, wait,
I get it, they are all blue, and all sci-fi fantasy characters, Sci-fi blues!
