premiere celebration and event for independent music by artists and
fans alike, The "3rd Annual South Bay Music Awards" (SBMA's) take
place at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse, Pier Avenue at Pacific Coast

After a year-long series of events showcasing top talent, the SBMA's
culminate with this Awards Gala featuring live entertainment and
honoring outstanding achievements in Southern California's
independent music scene. The SBMA's are once again hosted by
television personality, Todd Torok ("General
Hospital", "Friends", "Full House", "She Spies"). This year's SBMA's
will recognize leading artists and enjoy performances from cutting-
edge bands encompassing multiple genres, styles and categories
including "Best Independent CD;" the prestigious "Pioneer Award;"
and "Miss South Bay Music Awards/2006." This year's nominees and
scheduled performers include Teddy Lee Hooker, nephew of Blues
great, John Lee Hooker; BILLBOARD magazine's critically-acclaimed,
Grammy-nominated artist; Brandy Moss-Scott; 2007 AMERICAN IDOL
contestant, Jared Berry; Hollywood breakout band Neverwonder; OC
punk-rock stalwarts, The Attraction; and hip-hop multi-talented
Femme Fatale, Medusa.
