I just saw Roger Waters in concert June 21st and
22nd in LA. It was the best show I ever saw.
Everything a concert should be. It was certainly the most
psychedelic and the crowd was totally 100% into it all the
way to the back row. I never saw a crowd that crazy
about a show. The lights were truly astounding and
Roger kept a backdrop changing right along with the
narrative. There was a lot of care put into every aspect of
the show. I did not imbibe any substances, yet I felt
tripped out the whole time I was there. The music was
awesome live, and the 360 degree sound system was lots of
fun. I felt like this is what a real rock concert must
have been like before rock lost its balls. He played
for three and a half hours. The show was so good I
went back and saw it again the next
night!

Despite his reputation Roger seemed VERY unpretentious.
Many times he was content to stand and play base in
the shadows while the spotlight was on other members
of the band. He even joked that he couldn't play
guitar and seemed surprised that the audience was giving
such an incredible response.

He opened with "In
The Flesh" and the dream of standing in the audience
and having Roger Waters call me queer was finally
realized then he launched into "The Happiest Days of Our
Lives/Another Brick in the Wall part II" -- unlike most old
rock stars he didn't make the audience wait long to
hear his biggest hit. Then continuing on with crowd
pleasers he played "Have A Cigar" I was dancing in the
aisles here and the ushers had to come and make me take
my seat! The nerve!
