I am one of the editors of a forthcoming online entertainment
magazine. We haven't chosen a name for the zine yet, but we're busy
getting things together for the website's debut in about three months.

We're looking for a longtime fan of Roger Waters who would be
interested in writing an article about his solo music and career.

We're looking for a piece that would focus on what Waters has done
apart from Pink Floyd, such as his solo albums, concerts and guest
appearances on other projects. One of the things we want to be a
highlight of the article is how "Amused to Death" is an underrated
masterpiece that equals much of Pink Floyd's best material.

So if you have enough writing experience and feel you'd be able to
write a thorough and entertaining article, please email us at
indie_zine@... and let us know how you would approach your
article. The other editors and I will go through the emails we get
and decide which article we'll want to go ahead with.

Unless you just really want to, don't actually write your article
before emailing us with your ideas. Also, you don't have to be a
professional or semi-professional writer.

Here are some other things you should know about the zine and article:
+ We want the article to be written so that a reader with little or
no knowledge of Waters will be able to get something out of it.
+ You will not get paid for writing for us. You have to be willing to
do it for your own personal satisfaction. No one is making any money
off the zine, including us.
+ Submitted articles will be edited for grammar and style, but in
general the writer's wording will remain intact.
+ If you're chosen to write for us, your deadline will be early
April. There is no set length for articles; we'll let the writer
judge what length is appropriate for the article.
+ We're doing things on the honor system: Don't plagiarize anything.
