If you are using the M-Audio Uno midi interface I had similar issues, I could not get it to work, I switched to the Edirol UM interface and everything works...
I've monkeyed with the Sys Ex, Prog, MIDI ch, Thru, Sync, cables, and everything else I can think of on the DR5, but am still getting the No response from DR5...
That's interesting Brian. In the past the Edirol unit didn't work correctly either. I assume that they have updated the driver software and now it works OK....
