I used to go see their first concerts in San
Francisco. The first time I remember really taking exception
to them was in October 1980 when they played the
I-beam in Frisco. I think they opened for the Go-Go's (I
swear!) The Go-Go's were really hip in those days, before
they went bubble gum of course. When I came to Paris
in 1981 I heard them on the radio. I was really glad
that they had made the international airwaves. It's
really too bad they broke up, it was premature as far as
I was concerned. Of course San Francisco has turned
into a Yuppy toilet now. I think the best thing that
can happen to Frisco now is that a major earth quake
will happen and shake all the yuppies out of the city.
