SCHIZOID?? YOU'RE FRIENDS WITH THE SHIZIT (RIP)! hell, you even have a
semi-Shizit release there! That's fucking crazy! I live in Tacoma, WA and
was a fan of The Shizit back when they were actually around, saw them live
once, etc etc. . .posted on the forum and such. Oh my goooooooodness.
Surely you've heard Rabbit Junk??
It's such a small fucking world.

Yeah cassettes definitely have this retro and underground taste , plus
they often sound pretty bad. which is a fun thing for harsh noise
especially. And breaking them
means lots of fun .. i mean : the case , the tape itself ! while
breaking a cd is quite boring.

Oh hell yes. Cassettes are beautiful. I just recently released a cassette
on Hand Panther Records (Tacoma, WA, USA), and since then, I've become
obsessed with releasing things on cassette. . .now making music/noise with
friends and planning on putting it on cassette myself. Plus it's fun to
make the j-cards for them. weeeeee
it's also interesting, different ways of recording things, the different
interpretations of the sound input you get. . .like, yes, a microcassette
recorder, or a digital handheld recorder, fourtrack, blah blah.
I wonder if it's some kind of aggressive reaction against the rampant
production of ONLY CDS in the mainstreamerish music world, or just cuz
cassettes are inexplicably so fun, or both. . .

Hahaha! It's good to hear people still like cassettes! Between RUBBISH and RABBIT GIRLS, we have literally hundreds if not thousands of cassette tapes and micro cassettes of noise from over the years. Every once in a while I'll go grab a random tape out of a box and digitize it. I like to take the random cassette recordings and drop them into mutitrack softwares like Cakewalk or Acid and sear what happens. Always tons o' fun.
I think cassettes are begining to make a comeback too.
my turntable is broken since a year. I keep on buying vynils just to bang my penis against them. I buy unplayable Haters releases so i don't suffer from the loss of my turntable. cassettes obviously rule. and cds too. i have no idea on how much money i spent , how many shit i bought or traded. anyway , lots.

Dr. Robert Moog passed away today.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. August 21, 2005 Bob died this afternoon at his home in
Asheville, N.C. He was 71. Bob was diagnosed with brain cancer
(glioblastoma
multiforme or GBM) in late April 2005. He had received both radiation
treatment and chemotherapy to help combat the disease. He is survived
by his
wife, Ileana, his five children, Laura Moog Lanier, Matthew Moog, Michelle
Moog-Koussa, Renee Moog, and Miranda Richmond; and the mother of his
children,
Shirleigh Moog.
Bob was warm and outgoing. He enjoyed meeting people from all over the
world.
He especially appreciated what Ileana referred to as "the magical
connection"
between music-makers and their instruments.
No public memorial is planned. Fans and friends can direct their
sympathies or
remembrances to www.caringbridge.com/visit/bobmoog.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a personal note, for all the electronic musicians and afficianados out
there, I think you should all pull out your fattest sounds and make some
fuckin noise!!!! Silence is the last things Dr. Bob would want to
hear coming
out of electronic instruments. Peace and respect.

Hi List
I am Uri of the Israel label\distribution topheth prophet. I konw ron for a while and appriciate him as a major contributor to the Israeli experimental noise scene (we are few but bold). as ron wrote on his first message to the group , TP is about to release 2 of his track in a new cd compilation that will see daylight very soon and will include also contributions from wrek&drool , drone lebanon , mortal manifest and BARZEL.
so bon voyage to the group , label and musical projects led by ron & tzvika and feel free to check www.njstudio.co.il/tp which hopefully will be updated soon with info about the next projects and other things.

hey guys.
first of all, its really cool of all of you to join, 27 users in a few days is no joke.
2moro were gonna make the covers for the new aboolele album (see bottom). the album is really cool, its somewhat diffarent from the other aboolele releases, but its awsome. we finnished mastering it a while a go, and as soon as the albu, will be ready, well release some tracks to myspace and the new aboolele soundclick page (i'd do it myself, but Aboolele's having trouble with picking the tracks to share).
i dunno most of the ppl in the list, so it would be sweet if every one drop a line, ive seen it work in some places, and fail horribly in others....
any how, i (we) welcome all the new members, and i remind you that this is not a tipical label group, so feel free to write whatever u wanna.
ill keep u posted with more news soon. btw, ive got two half baked versions of tracks from the upcoming gaop albu, and i cant seem to upload them to the files section, any one knows whats up with that?
helloooo there. i'm josh. i'm a member of internet get-retarded freeform
band I Forgot. . .that's how I got in touch with GAOP and such, via myspace,
trading random comments back and forth with GAOP. . . also in a fringe
improv band called Francis Minotaur. . .
http://www.myspace.com/iforgotwewereabandhttp://www.myspace.com/francisminotaur
i love checking out truly independent artistic sound art / noise / music
from around the world, so let me know what you're all doing and add me on
myspace: http://www.myspace.com/hangeduplife
i try to keep up with supporting independent sound artists, buying the
releases. . .so you'd do well to let me know what you're up to. haha.
i highly recommend checking out the stuff on Hand Panther Home Recordings as
well (esp. Proud Flesh, Mechta, their Pilotram release, and. . well. . .I
Forgot): www.handpanther.r8.org
I Forgot would be down doing a Ron_Zed release or giving a track for a
compilation at some point, totally. . .independent sound fucks are the best.
done rambling. thank you.

2moro were gonna make the covers for the new aboolele album (see bottom). the album is really cool, its somewhat diffarent from the other aboolele releases, but its awsome. we finnished mastering it a while a go, and as soon as the albu, will be ready, well release some tracks to myspace and the new aboolele soundclick page (i'd do it myself, but Aboolele's having trouble with picking the tracks to share).
i dunno most of the ppl in the list, so it would be sweet if every one drop a line, ive seen it work in some places, and fail horribly in others....
any how, i (we) welcome all the new members, and i remind you that this is not a tipical label group, so feel free to write whatever u wanna.
ill keep u posted with more news soon. btw, ive got two half baked versions of tracks from the upcoming gaop albu, and i cant seem to upload them to the files section, any one knows whats up with that?

wow, 7 users! (6 actually, cos i don't count)
any how, im glad youve joined us.
ill start posting news and more info as soon as a lil' more ppl join.
but so you've won't feel neglected ,here's some special news just for u!
ron_zed record's latest project PGP has released a track, and a page
on soundclick.
http://www.soundclick.com/PGP
the track is available for donwload too.
more tracks are now being mastered and an album is on the way.
also, let me update you with some news (last bulletin from the ron_zed
blog updates on myspace):
1) a new Aboolele album was already mastered and now is just waiting
to be printed. this it continues the aboolele noise meets rythm way of
life, a few tracks are done with vocals, it a very cool and punishing
album.
2) a new gaop album is on the way, 9 tracks are almost ready, and
there are more ont he way. its gonna be more noise vox oriented, but
like allways with the gaop melodic dark ambient touch.
3) the two compilations are still on hold unfortunately :(
4) now available 4 sale the compilation "eXTREME NOISE OBSEESIONS" by
the spanish label "isolated society". it features tracks by aboolele
and gaop among other noise artists fro, the world (clear stream
temple, filthy turd, others people children, armenia and others). WEVE
GOT ONLY A FEW OF THESE.
5) Aboolele vs. gaop are appearing on an upcoming project from the
israeli label TOPETH PROPHET, the cd was inspired by a gig played with
DRONE LEBANON, WRECK&DROOL and MORTALMANIFEST (the latters available
on myspace). also joining the project is the the zion obsessed power
electronix master BARZEL.
6) i know that there is no price list which makes ordering very....
erm, suspicios. thing is we name varios prices for various people.
since were basically a non profit label, we just name the price
accordingly to your local currency and israeli taxes for postage to
your country. currently we accept only cash, and all purchases take a
few says and correspomdance. we just have to go to the post office,
weigh the parcell, check the taxation and stamp price and
then we give you the most fair price.
again, thank you guys for joining, have a great week.
