ROOT SKANKADELIC TO PERFORM AT PENNY PARK

Skankadelic, a local reggae band, will perform a community concert to help kick
off the

look forward to playing outdoors and seeing families and friends dance with one
another,” states Josh White, bassist for the band. “We are also happy to contribute
to the continued use and growth of the facilities at the park.”
This
summer has been full of music at Penny Park. Bands such as Compas, Captain Cactus,
Socket, Your Sister Cheryl, and Ripcor have all played over the summer. “It is great to see the
amphitheater getting used by all of these musicians, and even better to see so
much of our community enjoying the shows,” comments Charlotte Griffin, a
member of the Park’s board of directors.
In
addition to being a fun community event, the concert also marks the beginning
of Penny Park’s annual
Admission
to the Root Skankadelic concert is $3/individual, $10/family, or free with a
new or renewed membership to the park for 2005. For more information on
