The songs I don't get into as much as the others are Rainy Days and
Stained, but I like those too. The whole album is surprisingly
consistent. I've been listening to this a lot lately too. If I had
to draw any similarities, I'd say it's similar to Matt Piucci's album
Hellenes. It has very majestic passages alternated with quieter
sections, within the same song. The guitars sound very good on this
album, and also, I like the way he makes use of the banjo on one
song, adding some subtle resonance. I love Billy's voice on the song
Dreamer. His voice is just wonderful. I love his fragility that you
mentioned. I wasn't sure if voice would last thru an entire song,
but I love the way his voice is kind of ragged.
The song His Song is classic! Very heartfelt and the kind of thing
that haunts you a few days after hearing it. And so are the other
ones you mentioned.
