Ok folks, this is just a preliminary view of this historic
event in Neil's career at a terrific venue. It was a
sincere privilege to be in attendance and I want to thank
everyone who helped make this possible for me, especially
John Duncan.

I was absolutely knocked out by the new songs. Wow. On
many levels they tug at one's heart, bring to mind those
that are no longer here, they really touched me.
Instrumentation was interesting, melodies really nice and
lyrics thoughtful for the most part. As soon as they
finished, I wanted to hear it again. This record is going
to be downright GREAT! Neil looked spiffy in a silver
outfit with cowboy boots; he changed into a lavender
outfit for the second set.

Lotta references during the evening to those no longer
her; Elvis (the dog and the singer), Scott, Nicolette...

The second set was I Am A Child plus songs from Harvest,
Comes A Time, and Harvest Moon. Truth be known, it was a
much more interesting set than it looks like on paper.
Neil's great vocal form and the instruments made me feel
like I was seeing the Gone With The Wind orchestra reborn
doing the tour they never did. Wonderful stuff. Lotta
ladies on guitars including Emmylou and Pegi. Yes, Pegi on
guitar, though it wasn't plugged in. [just kidding about
the plugged in part; she did have a guitar for a couple of
songs though]

They gave out nice little handheld fans with the names of
the band on one side and the album cover on the other.
Very cool. Much more to come. Sorry for the crosspost but
I'm too tired to do otherwise.

Mike
