Didn't get to the Premire last night, but made it to the show this A.M.
Astounding! This has
to be the most I've laughed and cried in 24 hrs, ever. Neil and Mike Cerre took
it over the
top, more than I expected was possible. Very nice to see Bo up on the big screen
and the
gamut of emotions that were touched by this film is a ride. Rustie's will be
proud.
Last night we saw Patti Smith's movie "Dream of Life". Patti has always been up
there for
me and to see this beautiful person in such a wonderful, touching film, was just
astounding. The film spans her career, her family and friends, her
determination, her
fierce artistic sense. Very inspiring, please get the DVD when it comes out. The
fact that
she let Steven Sebring inside her to make this film is a real treat. He paid for
it, it was his
idea, and after a while, it was apparent that they trusted each other. Patti
doesn't open up
to anyone. This is took 11 yrs. to film.
Patti was there, but as someone said, was last seen jogging backwards down the
street.I'm sure the last place she would like to be was sitting watching a movie
about
herself.
Both films, LOTS OF CRYING AND LOTS OF LAUGHING, and lots of good stuff.
Time to sleep now.
