F*** F911, Mikey Mo', etc.... - a right wingers take

Was gonna be a short post, but I kept reading other posts and getting
antagonized, so here's two years worth in one shot - see ya in 2006!

Here we go. A yearly repost to some giddy left-wingers happy with
current events. You guys make me sick, not for your stupidity,
blindness or lack of historical and/or current event factual
information and interpretation, but for your utter disdain for anyone
who may think differently from you - isn't this what we're all
supposed to be rebelling against by our love of great music? You
people are so "broad-minded" but yet cannot understand how a "right-
winger" can fathom listening to Neil's music. Dude, this is a guy
that wrote a song about mashed potatoes (did I Quayle that
spelling?) So in a quick email to answer those of you that have
posted about Michael Moore's grand achievement in the last few days:

1. This is not a documentary - a documentary presents all sides of
the story, not a cut and paste (and frankly that's one thing that not
many of these movie reviewers will live down in the long run. From a
cinematical perspective, this movie is a poorly constructed piece of
crap. Ever since Moore's first film, he's used the same technique -
cut, paste and splice: change context!) This is purely an op-ed
piece, an elementary one at that (finally figured out what grade Bob
teaches).

2. To Bob Y and others who see no controversial issues with F911,
check out this ad-hoc fisking, conducted right after watching the
film (and for the record, you people posting today are purely an
example of the white woman mentioned in the first paragraphs):

http://www.buzzmachine.com/archives/2004_06_24.html#007356

3. To Ray C., who sounds like a good, hyped up young kid with the
heart in the right place - you are completely insane making comments
like you did:

"But I think the public needs this kind of film, informational as a
balance for the totally
slanted media coverage that Bush and the war has received."

Please, spend 5 minutes and read this:
http://mason.gmu.edu/~atabarro/MediaBias.doc

Furthermore Raymond et al, why don't you guys take a look at this
blog and ask yourself if you ever read any of these stories in
your "conservative slanted media outlets". My bet is no. Met a guy
the other night just home from right outside Baghdad who said the
locals threw him and his buddies a banquet when he left, thanked them
for all that they had done, etc... But nahh, in your eyes, that
could never happen - everyone hates Americans, including
ourselves! "Slanted media coverage"? You gotta be kiddin' me.
We're 4 days away from democratizing and giving power to a country
that was created by Great Britain many decades ago (what I mean here
is that we're not only democratizing a country, but a country that
was never unified, even before Saddam - it's always been 3 separate
entities, and we're resolving those conflicts as best we can). And
we're doing that in under 2 years of removing one of the all-time
worst dictators and oppressors from power. That's freakin'
incredible man, be proud to be a part of this. I know that since I'm
conservative I should openly wish for failure so that in 10 years
time my wife will not be allowed to utter a sentence without my
permission, but c'mon!!! I mean, how ironic that I jammed to
Chrissie Hynde on DVD-A of Road Rocks tonight when what she really
wants is to be forcibly shut up.

Seriously, how many of those idiots causing trouble do you really
believe to be Iraqi? These are, and this is a sad irony of Saddam's
will to rule the entire middle east, the most educated and secular
populace in the mid-east and they are raring to go.

http://chrenkoff.blogspot.com/2004/06/good-news-from-iraq-part-4.html

Finally, this is your boy here. This guy is just plain sickening to
me. You all keep lining this dude's pockets while he makes you feel
bad about your country - yep, what an american! What a patriot!
BLAME EVERYTHING ON US
TAPPER: You declare in the film that Hussein's regime had never
killed an American …

MOORE: That isn't what I said. Quote the movie directly.

TAPPER: What is the quote exactly?

MOORE: "Murdered." The government of Iraq did not commit a
premeditated murder on an American citizen. I'd like you to point out
one.

TAPPER: If the government of Iraq permitted a terrorist named Abu
Nidal who is certainly responsible for killing Americans to have Iraq
as a safe haven; if Saddam Hussein funded suicide bombers in Israel
who did kill Americans; if the Iraqi police — now this is not a
murder but it's a plan to murder — to assassinate President Bush
which at the time merited airstrikes from President Clinton once that
plot was discovered; does that not belie your claim that the Iraqi
government never murdered an American or never had a hand in
murdering an American?

MOORE: No, because nothing you just said is proof that the Iraqi
government ever murdered an American citizen. And I am still waiting
for you to present that proof.

I want to end this by saying that I don't mind political posts on
Rust, but when they are condescending towards one group, it's a bit
unfair. If both sides strike a balance, then that's one thing. But
to say that you can't understand why one side of the equation can
even listen to the man, that's just wrong. It's JUST FUCKING MUSIC.
Neil Young is no arbiter of right or wrong, he just plays GOOD
FUCKING MUSIC. So go ahead and flame me, I can take it. I won't
hide behind some pretext of emails coming directly to me to champion
some bit of free speech innuendo and how the man is bringing me down
(that must have been the most ridiculous post I've read in 4 years of
reading Rust).

And again, I'm sorry, but I don't find much political meaning in the
17 minutes of notes in CITS that I'm listening to right now.
