Maybe one is the Neil Young list, and one is the coroding-metal-and-strippers
list?

That's my best guess.

I'm trying to imagine the other possibilities and smiling at the thought of
them:
EXPOSURE would be interesting.Maybe Neil, the Indian should do SAN JACINTO.
Others:HERE COMES THE FLOOD; GAMES WITHOUT FRONTIERS;BIKO ?; FATHER,SON. Would
any PG Genesis be possible- BACK IN NYC ?
Or how about PGs LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME with Neil doing a Live version and jumping
in to the crowd ?

I think John Fogerty has one of the best rock'n'roll singing voices, imho,Ian.
Funny, how what sounds great to one person, just grates on another!

Still,we are agreed on the quality of the choons, and CCR were a tight little
band,and had tons of hits.

John's comeback in the mid '80s was really nice, although,I don't think he has
ever surpassed his Creedence era output.I did enjoy the first Blue Ridge Rangers
albums and his first solo album,in the early '70s - well worth seeking out.

we got EKTIN as the encore, and with me sporting a Neil longsleeve to
boot. This post is way past due, and them doing Neil is by no means
rare in the least (they've done LA, Last Dance, EKTIN, et al.), but
still thought I'd post. Off to see them 3 times this weekend at the
Fillmore, I expect musical HIGHjinx to ensue....

One for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance (and apparently this catagory was only
open to artists with over 30 years in the business, very strange) and as I
previously predicted, one for Best Box Set/Special Edition packaging.

Big ups to the husband and wife team of Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi.
Each was nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Album, Already Free by The Derek
Trucks Band (a fine album) and Back To The River by Tedeschi.

Otherwise than that, it was pretty slim pickings for list favorites...

Here's Neil's competition in the Rock Vocal category,

• Beyond Here Lies Nothin' Bob Dylan
Track from: Together Through Life

• Change In The Weather John Fogerty
Track from: The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again

• Dreamer Prince
Track from: LotusFlow3r

• Working On A Dream Bruce Springsteen
Track from: Working On A Dream

• Fork In The Road Neil Young
Track from: Fork In The Road

Pardon me for being so lame and late............
Because of my recent incarceration , OOOOOOOOPPPSSSS
I mean hospitalisation for a MEAN virus that settled in my lungs and wouldn't
budge...
I have been connecting to the net via cell phone, and that's OK for seeing a
small message and typing back a fast answer, But so not OK for digests and the
like.
This is my first time on a real computer in WEEKS!!
I just wanted to say WOW I can't believe that John Nobody was never ROTM . My
first IRF (2001) I knew NO ONE face to face and when I drove into that little
nook of a parking space at the camp grounds, and climbed up the stairs and asked
in a shy voice (NOT A JOKE) is this the rustie area, or something equally lame,
John stood up, BIG john smile and said "HI I'm NOBODY" So John and I and the
other few people chatted for a bit, then before it started to get dark, I
started unloading my car of it's tent, my luggage, sleeping bag and so
on...........and went to the ladies room. Before I knew it, my tent was pitched,
sleeping bag placed on it's air mattress and I was home! All because John and
set me up!!! I still don't know how his guitar pick ended up in my sleeping bag,
days later!
The next year, he and his friend picked me up in San Fran, took me back to his
old place and we drove that old 5th wheel <AN E TICKET> to Saratoga
.............that was a REALLY fun IRF .
EVERY IRF IS A FUN ONE!
Congrats John on your way too late ROTM !
As for Ron S. a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY...........hope the end of this year goes
well and the start of the next is amazing!
And....
thanks all for the well wishes. I am feeling better and stronger daily and off
ALL meds now...............and SMOKE FREE since 11/16/09
although today was a TOTAL BITCH to get through, but it's almost over.
Dog walking and BED!
CHEERS JOHN AND RON!

I'm thankful for my country home.........It brings me PEACE OF MIND!

"Bachman's new album also features appearances by Neil Young and late blind
blues legend Jeff Healey."

RANDY BACHMAN and FRED TURNER are set to go into Overdrive again after
reuniting for a new album track.
The Bachman Turner Overdrive leaders teamed up to record the title track of
Bachman's upcoming album,Rock 'n' Roll is the Only Way Out, and now have
plans to tour together in 2010.

They are planning a big announcement next week (08Dec09), but the duo won't
be able to hit the road as Bachman Turner Overdrive due to an injunction
filed by Bachman's younger brother Rob and former BTO guitarist Blair
Thornton.
Instead the pair plans to tour as Bachman-Turner United.

Bachman tells Billboard.com, "We've been getting offers for the last five or
six years. It started in 2000, with the reunion of the Guess Who. I went to
see the Eagles, and the first thing Don Henley and Joe Walsh said was,
'How's Turner? Any chance you guys will do anything?' 'Why are you
interested?' 'You're the last band of the '70s that hasn't gotten back
together or put something out, that's why!' Mick Jagger said the same
thing."

Bachman's new album also features appearances by Neil Young and late blind
blues legend Jeff Healey.

I've been enjoying this Roy Orbison concert tonight...I know Neil was a
great admirer of Roy's. Wow, it's so sad to know that RO passed away at the
age of 52. I think of how Neil has fortunately been able to go on for so
much longer and Roy was even younger than I am now when he passed. What a
wonderful performer and songwriter he was. I am quite sure he left an
indelible mark on Neil with his approach to singing and music.

Lou, got one a couple months ago for 179.00. Works great and no problems so
far. Haven't actually downloaded anything yet. Nice big digits on the remote.
Looks and sounds great.

good reviews equal to the Samsung BD-P3600 and LG BD 390, with much better end
user ratings ... anybody have one or have any thoughts?... second question, I
know without the HD TV (which I do not have), the benefits are small, but it
still works, right?... I just want to finally see what the Archives are all
about... Lou, more to the picture...
