And someday soon I hope my friend we can sing these together with the fire
popping in the background as Rusties move in close with that "Redwood Harmony"
filling the air! Damn, that was almost like goin' back, back to where the tall
trees grow.

RUSTspectfully,
Mort III

Paul makes a case about history to Marilyn:

Marilyn, I am not a particular fan of the video; AND I am certainly not a fan of
kids or anyone smoking - HOWEVER, there is a real problem with wanting or
needing to excise historical imagery simply because you have a "problem" with
the imagery - that footage was obviously from the 30's or 40's during the walker
evans, and james agee's time to record the times.....
Sorry you are annoyed by it, but it seems to fit with the tenor of what
Americana is, or will be about....

and kids, it's not alright to smoke!

I Reply:

History is littered with a lot of bad ideas. In that way, it's a lot like the
present.

His new album, Blunderbuss, is pretty cool. I think he has some interesting
ideas and a refreshing old-school attitude about music. I have to say, though,
he comes across as a bit rigid sometimes, in interviews. It reminds me of when
the Black Crowes had an opening band thrown off their tour because they (gasp!)
did commercials.

check song, it never changes pace. The rest of the songs on the record i hated
growing up interesting to see what the horse can do with them, just my opinion.
