Well, Linda, it's just been hectic; Connie' chest congestion finally got as
clear as it's likely to get and we're just pretty well dealing with each day as
it gets here. The next CD is in the serious planning stage, down to the twenty
songs that the final fourteen will come from, and that's pretty time consuming,
especially as key specific as my voice is -- the RIGHT key has to be found for
EACH song!! Rustie's new project sounds like "next level" stuff for sure;
what's the status on you recording?
If anyone on this forum is interested in a REALLY good songwriter forum, let me
know and I'll connect you with The Writer's Block. I've been on it since
February and am writing as voraciously as EVER, even back in the '60s when John
Hartford, Jimmy Payne, I, and others would hang out on afternoons at the Glaser
office, showing each other new songs -- quite often new LINES!!! ("Hey, what
would go with this?") There are some excellent songwriters there and keeping
excellent company is always advisable. Bill

Well, we're not as late as sometimes!!! The new issue of thebridgeworks IS
up; there has been an interesting little quandary going on "backstage" --
putting the entire edition up on the Internet is really not fair to the folks
who pay for subscriptions of the hardcopy version, yet the folks we talk about
deserve as much coverage as we can possibly provide. I've lived with this
matter a good bit and, starting next month, there will be SOMETHING in each
hardcopy edition that is not on the net -- it may be an illustration, some of my
writing, or some reprint morsel from my semi-vast collection of goodies. No big
deal; we're just trying to do this thing in an ethical manner that fills the
needs of the greatest possible number of folks. Anyone who would like to see
the hardcopy edition (which includes subscription information) can send me a
snail address.
