Hello to all country music fans.

My friend, Rustie Blue (along with her band, The Stallions)is
involved in two different contests on FAMECAST.COM & I would like to
ask you to consider voting for her if you haven't done so already.

The first contest is called the Big State Big Star Contest. Twenty
country artists & bands are competing, hoping to finish in the top
5. Out of those top 5, a panel of judges in Texas will choose a
winner. The winning artist/band will then be invited to perform in a
major country music festival held in College Station, TX October 13-
14. The winner will be opening for some big name artists, including
Tim McGraw, Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, & many more
(about 50 artists total).

Rustie Blue has held the #1 spot in the voting for nearly all of the
two weeks the contest has been running, but with the contest ending
TOMORROW (Tues., Sept. 25, noon EST)she has slipped to #2. That's
still a spot that will get her considered, but I'd like to make sure
she gets enough votes to make it in (and if she could get to #1
again, that might carry more weight with the judges). If you would
like to vote for her, here is the link:

http://famecast.com/contest/bigstar_open.php?stage_id=52&round_id=241

The second famecast contest, which also ends tomorrow (Tues., Sept.
25, noon EST), is in Season 3 of Famecast on the country stage (stage
#8). In this round of Season 3, Rustie only needs to finish in the
top 50 to make it to the next round, & currently she is #1. Moving
to the next round seems pretty certain there, but it would still be
nice to get her some more votes so she can continue to make new
friends & meet new people who will vote for her in the upcoming
rounds. (In season 3, by the way, it is the voting fans who will
eventually choose the winner.) If you would like to vote for Rustie
in this contest, here is the link:

http://www.famecast.com/contest/stage.php?
stage_id=29&round_id=106&artist_id=2481

For those who have never voted on Famecast.com, you will need to
register first (registration is free) & respond to a confirmation e-
mail. After your e-mail address is confirmed, you can then place
your vote for one or more artists (although you can only vote for any
particular artist once per round).

Rustie is extremely talented, and she's a people-loving person who is
a big hit with her fans. She's also genuinely appreciative of
everything anyone does for her, so I know she would appreciate
receiving your votes, as well as hearing from you if you'd like to
drop her a note on Famecast. Check out her video, which I shot
during a performance at the 2007 Ohio State Fair. It's one of her
newest songs that will be coming out on her 4th CD in the near
future!

Thanks for reading this message, & for those who either have voted
already or who will vote for Rustie in the future, we give you a big
THANK YOU!!

Sincerely,
Doug

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to send you a reminder about the two Famecast contests
that my friend Rustie Blue is in. BOTH of these has voting ending at

Right now, I'm pleased to say, Rustie is #1 IN BOTH CONTESTS! There
is still the judging stage for the top 5 in the Big State Big Star

Stage #8 in Famecast's Season 3, but with such a strong showing right
from the start I'd say our girl has a good chance of winning BOTH
CONTESTS!

Rustie has three things going for her: 1) tremendous talent; 2) a
great, talented group backing her up (go Stallions!!), & 3) a
TREMENDOUS FOLLOWING OF LOYAL FANS!! A huge THANKS to all of you
who have voted for Rustie, & have been recruiting your friends &
acquaintances to vote for her, too! You guys (& gals) are terriffic!!

In case anyone still needs to vote, or would like to pass along the
links to their friends, here are the banners to click that will take
you to Rustie's video.

Hey everyone,

We're coming down to the wire in the Famecast.com voting. Once again,
I'm asking you to vote for RUSTIE BLUE as the best vocalist on the
COUNTRY stage (stage #4). Rustie still currently sits in second in
the voting, and there's only about an hour to go. VOTING ENDS AT NOON
TODAY (EST)!! We need your help!! For this round, Famecast is only
posting the position the artist is in rather than the number of votes
they have received, so we have no way of knowing exactly how many
votes that Rustie needs. That means EVERY VOTE IS IMPORTANT!

If you have voted already, we thank you sincerely! Your vote is very
much appreciated. If you have not yet voted, we would love to have
you place a vote for Rustie. For those of you who are reading this in
the workplace -- do you have co-workers who enjoy country music & who
may be willing to vote for Rustie? If you would ask them to vote for
her, all of us who are standing behind her would be very grateful!

Time is short, but we would love to see Rustie take over that #1
postion before NOON TODAY!

Here are the links that will take you to Famecast.com :

On Rustie's behalf, THANK YOU SO MUCH for any help that you can give
her! She's a great lady & a super performer, & we want to get that
word out to everyone we can! Having her become the Famecast Fenom
would certainly help us do that!

Hello Friends.

Just a reminder that, with Rustie in the final round at Famecast.com,
the TRUE BLUE CONTEST will be continuing until the end of voting on
August 2 at noon. For the round of voting just completed, we decided
to give everyone an entry in the contest simply using everyone's
Famecast ID's. We were not receiving many e-mails of folks entering
the contest, & since Rustie received an e-mail with the username of
everyone who voted, we wanted everyone who voted for her to have a
chance at one of the prizes. We also gave additional entries to those
who recruited friends & e-mailed us indicating that.

For the current round of Famecast voting, everyone now has a chance
for an additional entry by voting for Rustie again, as well as
gaining additional entries if you can recruit new voters in this
current round. There is once change, however -- we once again need to
ask you to e-mail us if you voted for Rustie. The reason for this is
a change in the way Famecast is doing their voting. Rustie is not
receiving an e-mail from Famecast with the username of all who vote
for her, so we can no longer automatically enter every voter. If you
voted for Rustie, PLEASE E-MAIL US at rustiebluefan@... and tell
us so -- that is if you want to be entered in the contest. We assure
you that we will not pass your e-mail address on to anyone else -- we
simply need it so we know you voted, & so we know how to contact you
if you win one of the items.

As a refresher, here are the prizes in the contest once again:

1) a "Born Again Country' CD (advanced copy)
2) a "Chip Chip" CD
3) an "Enter At Your Own Risk" CD
4) an 8X10 Photo
5) a Rustie Blue Quartz Wall Clock
6) a pair of Rustie Blue's White Cowgirl Boots

All items will be signed by Rustie. For the white cowgirl boots, we
will give the winner the option -- just in case they may not want
them signed.

So send us your e-mails to be entered in the contest. Invite your
friends to vote for Rustie & join the contest too!

Thanks for all you do for Rustie.
:) Doug

PS -- To Vote for Rustie, go to famecast.com . If you have not
registered, you need to do so in order to vote. Once registered, go
to the Country Stage (stage 4), click on Rustie's picture, & then
when her video taped performance appears, click the VOTE icon. Also,
if you haven't seen her performance on July 26, by all means watch
the video. It contains 3 songs from her upcoming CD. She & the
Stallions were AWESOME!

Hello everyone,

As I write this we've only got about 12 hours to go in the current
round of Famecast voting. For the last several days Rustie has
continued to gain votes & was in 3rd. Right now, even though new
votes are still coming in, Rustie Blue has dropped down to 4th. This
young lady is really deserving of a trip to Austin for the finals, &
I would like to see her be able to go there. She works hard at making
music & keeping in touch with fans, & besides that, she's just plain
GOOD!! If you haven't voted yet, or if you know of a way to recruit
additional voters, now is a crucial time. Thanks for everything
you've been doing. Keep up the great work!

:) Doug

Now here's a note from Rustie. People who are from outside the United
States might want to take particular note of what she shares toward
the end of the message:

Hey everyone,

I wanted to make sure and say thank you to everyone that has
supported me along the way at Famecast! To all of my fans and
friends, you are truly amazing!! I'm now in 4th place so I slipped
back earlier today. The Top 5 go to Austin to compete. It's a close
contest so I still really need your votes! Voting on the Country
Stage closes tomorrow Thursday July 12th at 12PM EST. If you haven't
voted yet, then you will need to register first. If you need more
details or help registering, send me an email through myspace or at
rustie@...

Stage 4 is where you vote:

My Backstage:
http://www.famecast.com/backstage/artist.php?
artist_id=2481&backstage=1

To all my friends and fans in the UK, Famecast emailed my management
today and adivsed him of this:

We are aware of the zip code problem, and we will be simplifying the
fan registration process in the near future. Until then, please
inform people overseas to enter "Austin, TX 78702" when they register.

Austin, TX 78702

Many Blessings to all of my friends!

Hello everyone!

The voting on www.famecast.com country stage (stage #4) ends just one
day from now. Rustie is currently 3rd in the voting, which is good
because that will get her into the finals, but getting some
additional votes never hurts! She's a very talented lady who loves
performing & loves her fans. The current video on Famecast is from a
live concert with a short clip of Rustie singing "Burning Love" &
then going into her rendition of "Sweet Dreams." If you go to the
backstage section of Famecast, you can also view a video of Rustie's
duet with country legend Bill Anderson -- a song Bill wrote &
recorded with Rustie called "Chip Chip."

If you'd like to put in a vote for Rustie, go to www.famecast.com &
register (it's free). They send a confirmation e-mail & once you
click on the confirmation link, you're then eligible to vote (one
vote per artist per round). Go to the country stage, find Rustie's
photo & click on it to see her video. Below the video will be the
button to click to vote.

If Rustie finishes in the top 5 (which it looks like she will do),
then she will go to Austin, TX to compete for the top prize in a live
webcast!

Check it out! Famecast is a place to hear great music from up &
coming artists. And while you're there, please vote for Rustie
Blue!! Thanks!

Hi Everyone.

Just wanted to mention, for anyone who hasn't heard, that Rustie is
in the midst of a tight competition at Famecast.com . She has made
the top 10 and voting is now going on to determine the top 5. If
Rustie makes the top 5, she will go to Austin, TX & compete for top
honors on the country stage in a live webcast.

If you haven't voted for Rustie on Famecast yet, here's what you do.

1) Go to Famecast.com & register. Registration is free, & allows you
to place a vote for any artist (one vote per artist per round).
2) Once registered, go to the country stage (stage #4) & find
Rustie's video.
3) Once you've clicked on Rustie's video, the video will begin to
play, & in a box below the video you will see a link that says "click
here to vote." Simply click & your vote will be registered.

Now, as incentive for voting, Rustie also has a contest going for as
long as she is in the running on Famecast. If you vote for Rustie,
please send an e-mail to "rustiebluefan@..." giving your Famecast
username, your MySpace link (if you have one), & an e-mail address
where we can contact you if you win. Your name will be placed in a
drawing where you can win one of the following prizes:

1) a "Born Again Country' CD (advanced copy)
2) a "Chip Chip" CD
3) an "Enter At Your Own Risk" CD
4) an 8X10 Photo
5) a Rustie Blue Quartz Wall Clock
6) a pair of Rustie Blue's White Cowgirl Boots

All items will be signed by Rustie (although the option will be given
on the boots in case the winner prefers not to have them signed).

You can receive additional entries into the contest by recruiting
other people to vote for Rustie during the Famecast competition. IF
YOU REFER SOMEONE, please send us THEIR MySpace page and/or their e-
mail address (so that we can credit you with one entry once we know
that person has voted). Rustie receives an e-mail with the username
of each person who votes for her, so this is how we will know if the
person you referred has voted. Be sure you tell them about the
contest because, by voting, they can be entered in the contest & can
gain additional entries if they recruit new voters, too.

This contest will last for as long as Rustie is in the running at
Famecast. Therefore, if she does not make it into the top 5, the
contest will end once this upcoming round is concluded. If Rustie
should make it into the top 5 & go to Austin for the finals, the
contest will be extended until the end of the final round of voting,
giving everyone additional opportunities to win by voting once again
in the final round & receiving additional entries for any additional
people you recruit at that time.

Feel free to repost this message & tell others about the contest! Be
sure to tell your recruitees that they will need to register with
www.famecast.com before voting, and then they need to go to the
Country Stage (stage #4) & find Rustie's new video. Once they've done
that, it only takes one click to place their vote.

Thank you for all your efforts!
Sincerely,
Doug

Hello, All; the new email address is not quite configured to my Outlook Express
system, but the new website is up and the April edition of thebridgeworks, our
newsletter, is accessible from both sites (the old site is slated to
self-destruct on or about April 20).

http://www.unclewillamsplace.com

Would love to have you visit -- everything is in place except the Art Page,
which will take a few more days; you can still get to it from the old site. If
you know someone who would like to be on our mostly-monthly list, let me know;
if you would rather not be on it, let me know. If you'd like to see the hard
paper edition of thebridgeworks, let me know -- it includes bonus reprint
material from my vast files; a thousand bylines in PERFORMANCE Magazine alone,
plus an estimated that many more accumulatively in other publications. It's
interesting to look back over those articles and columns and see what has
changed and what has not changed -- my first freelance assignments through Tandy
Rice were in April of 1966. From that point until November of 1994, I had
something in SOME publication at least monthly, including nineteen years and
seven months of weekly dispatches for PERFORMANCE.

Wow, it's been a hassle, actually since before Christmas, but we're well on the
way to Happy Days In Cyberspace; stay tuned. Meanwhile, the new issue is up on
the website. http://members.ispwest.com/billlittleton/

We get a lot of addresses for folks we don't know, so if you don't want to be on
our list, let us know. If all goes any vestige close to well, April will be
closer to being on time. More soon, Bill

Rustie Blue and her current single "Cloud Of Dust" debuts on R&R!

Rustie Blue has debuted on the R&R Chart! "Cloud of Dust" made its
first appearance at #64. "Cloud of Dust" was recently "picked" on
After Midnight With Blair Garner's Pick It or Flick It! Rustie also
debuts on the E.C.M.A. chart with Cloud Of Dust at #94 and currently
is #38 on the CHi hotdisc Chart!

http://www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/AllAccess/Charts.asp?
format=c1R&showtopn=500

"Cloud of Dust" is Rustie Blue's current single. Rustie
describes "Cloud of Dust" as being "reminiscent of a Johnny Cash
tune". The song was written by Tom Damphier and Judy Rodman, who
says that Rustie is "a singer who delivers with passion!" "Cloud of
Dust" can also be found on M-T-M #13 track 4, and Chi Hotdisc #82.

With music influences like Patsy Cline and Elvis, it's obvious why
Rustie Blue crosses so many barriers. No matter what Rustie sings,
her true blue country vocals are very much apparent! Her energetic
stage performance and charismatic personality makes Blue a
refreshing experience and somebody you won't forget!

MP3s of the "Cloud of Dust", a copy of the Chip Chip album,
interviews, and print quality photos available to media by request.
Rustie Blue's music is also available on our media only download
page.

The good news about small dispatches to save the ire of my server's SPAM patrol
is that it takes a while to go through my whole list. Got a note from Nan
Cassidy about the Tune Smith Seminar in February and they're working on as early
a full registration as possible -- so, for the songwriters out there not
familiar with Tune Smith, you can get the details at http://tunesmith.net

You're welcome, Bobby; we were short on space this issue because of all the
response to the "characters" issue, but that's a good problem to have; it would
have been hard to do individual reviews of everybody at the MTM event, but I
wish I could have gotten a little more into detail. What a busy day that was!!!
Pretty much normal back in my PERFORMANCE Magazine days, but that's been a dozen
years and I don't move that fast anymore!!!

Hi all,

I was wondering if you would go vote for Rustie at RadioIndy.com by
clicking the link below. It's simple to vote and there is no
registration. Just click on the button and hit vote now. The song
poll is to your left once you are on the website. I'm not sure how
many times you can vote. It's only up for this week.

It was just brought to my attention by another artist.

Thanks so much for your support!

I appreciate your mentioning the newsletter here; I sent out a SLEW of promos
last night and some kind of glitch got 'em -- I'm assuming you saw the update
posted on one of Lonnie's boards, as I'm not sure Shuey got it either. So when
I resend, I won't include the Fan Forum. Folks can go to the link below or
paste it into their browsers. Thanks, Bill
