Announcing a CONTEST! A bona-fide ACTIVITY
associated with this fan club - some of you thought this day
would never come. Well, pick<br>yourself up off the
floor and read on:<br><br>Here's YOUR CHANCE to
INTERVIEW the one and only RICHARD X. HEYMAN! <br><br>Ask
him the questions all America - nay, the World - has
been waiting breathlessly to learn the answers
to:<br>(Sample questions)<br>- "When's yer new CD comin' out,
Richard?"<br>- "Richard, which summer or summers did you spend
up at Greenwood Lake?"<br>- "Hey Richard - I can
play an E7 on my guitar; wanna hear me?"<br>(Again,
these are only sample questions; you are in no way
obligated, or even encouraged, to ask any of these except
maybe the first one)<br><br>Here's how it's going to
work (I think):<br><br>1. Submit a list of questions
YOU would want to ask RXH, if you had the chance to
interview him, to:<br><br>
virtual_questions@...<br><br>no later than 11:59 P.M., Eastern Daylight
Time,
7/4. This gives you time to watch the fireworks and
then send in your questions.<br><br>2. Assume you've
got 30 minutes to plumb the depths of his soul, etc.
In other words, maybe 10 or 15 questions, and you
might not get a<br>chance to ask them all before
Richard has to leave in his limo for a 1-on-1 with Larry
King.<br><br>3. An independent panel of judge(s) will review the
questions and select a winner, using criteria which are too
arcane and unformulated to reveal here.<br><br>4.
Include an e-mail contact address with your entry (if you
prefer to be contacted at an e-mail other than the one
your entry is submitted from, please list that address
at the beginning of the text of your
entry).<br><br>5. ONLY members of the RXH Virtual Living Room Yahoo
Club are permitted to enter this contest. You can join
at 11:58 P.M. on the 4th and send<br>in your entry
at 11:59 - but you MUST be a member in order for
your entry to qualify. Therefore, you MUST include the
Yahoo ID under which you joined this club.<br><br>6.
Once the judge(s) have a chance to review all entries
received by the deadline, the winner will be notified via
return e-mail. The winner MUST agree to the following
terms and conditions:<br>- Richard will CALL THE WINNER
to conduct the interview, at a telephone number the
winner provides, at a date and time convenient for both,
but mostly for him. International entries we might
have to work out a slightly different system.<br>- The
winner has 30 minutes to fire away. Any time required
beyond that is stricly at the discretion of RXH.<br>-
The winner will provide a transcript of the interview
for publication at this fan site. Therefore, the
winner will make some sort of arrangement - preferably a
tape recording - to allow for transcription of the
interview. If you want to get all "literary" on us and add
additional text, go ahead.<br>- Therefore, the winner
relinquishes all publication and/or syndication rights to the
interview, notes, tapes, etc. The winner may not profit
from, assign the rights to, or re-sell the interview or
any part thereof without the express written consent
of RXH.<br><br>7. Oh - originally I had a Rule #7,
