POLMO POLPO is the main project of Toronto-based musician Sandro Perri. His first full length album 'Like Hearts Swelling' follows on from a series of self-released 12 inches on his own Audi Sensa label (re-issued on CD last year by Alien8 Recordings). Now part of the Constellation Records roster, this new album demonstrates, his ear for long-burn drones and submerged rhythms overlaid with instrumental sources (slide guitar, strings, accordion) and fits in perfectly with Constellation’s big stars, Godspeed You Black Emperor. Building on foundations of multi-layered full-spectrum drones and loops, the music of Polmo Polpo is distinguished by slide guitar motifs that are more naive pop pastoral than spaghetti western.

MATRA returns to The Forum to play live in support of his new album 'Drome', released this week on Unlabel. Expect timeless electronic listening music from one of Kent's finest exponents of the genre. Due to studying commitments, Matra only gets to perform every now and again with rare live performances taking place just once or twice a year!

GARETH DICKSON is a solo artist utilising acoustic guitar with effects (analogue delay and reverb) and vocals from Glasgow, Scotland. Gareth has released the album 'Spruce Goose' (available now from Norman Records) and also 'The Amber Goose Dance' 9 track CD as part of Unlabel's series52 project.

BLACK STATIC TRANSMISSION is a man from Margate who makes some stunning sounds with the use of a guitar and impressive looping and manipulation.

Matra - 'Drome' CD album.



The long awaited 15 track debut CD album from Matra aka Jon Barnes. Clocking in at over an hour, it’s a beautiful collection of many different styles of electronic listening music, perfect for all seasons.

Once again pressed in a limited edition; this time the first edition is 200 copies in glossy photo artwork.

Cove - 'Threes' 7" single.



The brand new single from the new-look Cove, a joint release between Unlabel and Noisestar.

After a nine month sabbatical spent writing and recording with new bass guitarist Druid, the band have turned up the volume on the already lurching fury of their sound and return with a two track single as a taster to the eagerly anticipated second album due later in the year, which is currently being recorded with Tim Cedar (Part Chimp / Ligament / Penthouse).

Limited ediiton of just 300 copies.

Sonar Nation - 'Dirty Hands and Wishes' CD mini album.



The latest installment from Sonar Nation, a six track CD mini album, their first in around ten years.

SJ - 'Threnody For The Victims of Ignorance' CD album.



Paul Taylor and Kevin Tomkins return with a new five track album clocking in at over an hour. This release sits somewhere between the extreme electronics of the past, the freeform guitar work sometimes heard in Bodychoke and the more recent improvised material heard on their last Unlabel release ‘Between Silences’ (un033).

The new SJ sound is still evolving.

The first 200 copies are housed in a custom laminted card sleeve.

(Also released on 13th March 2006 is the solo album 'Inertia' by Kevin Tomkins under the name Melt in the Unlabel series52).

Eiger - 'Eiger' 2 x CD EP.



Hailing from West Yorkshire, the four men known as Eiger present a collection of eight intriguing tracks on double CD.

Comparisons to Botch, Isis, Pelican and Joeyfat “with the demented screams of a northern bingo caller” have been made. Unpredictable, and like nothing you are likely to hear anywhere else. The music is fast, heavy, slow, delicate, loud and quiet in pretty equal measures.

Packaged in a beautiful litho-printed gatefold sleeve on luxury art-card stock.
