Louis' genuis spanned many decades. Ergo, he played in, or led, a
great number of groups and bands. In the groups, a lot of sidemen
came and went.

I'm curious what the members here feel about ....

1 - Which group did you like the best? 2 - Which sidemen were your
favorites?

For me, making a choice is difficult, can't single out any, but I
will say that I always liked some of the early stuff with King
Oliver's band and the KC Hot Seven.

I only got to see Louis peform in person once, at a club in LA in 1959
(ha,ha, that was before a long of members here were born). Danny
Barcellona was a new drummer with Louis then. Edmund Hall was in the
group (a quintet, I believe) but I don't remember the rest of the
players.
