Hi Werdna,
Glad to see someone posting about Louis here!
I have a book coming out from Harry N. Abrams publisher about Louis and the
collages
next spring: "Satchmo: The Wonderful World of Louis Armstrong." In addition to
the
collages there are hand written letters, autobiographical writings, photos, over
200 in all.
The book is in conjunction with the Louis Armstrong Archives and Foundation.
If you would like to read more you can see my entry on my blog:
stevenbrowerdesign.wordpress.com
There is a link from there to The Paris Review, which features the collages in
their current
issue and online.
If anyone here would like to ask me questions, I'd be happy to respond.
All my best,
Steven
