Dear friends,

I was going to keep a secret from you, because I
didn't think you'd be able to come, but I was wrong
about that! Turns out anybody can come and hear
not just me, but bunches of (even better!) singer-
songwriters play for hours, FOR FREE!! So, like, come.

So, I'm performing four (1/2-hour) "showcase" slots
at the 2004 Southwest Regional Folk Alliance
Conference, which is in Austin this year, out at the
Lakeway Inn and Resort.

I'd love to tell you the story of how each of these
slots got lined up (thanks to friends like Karen Mal
and the Big Guy upstairs), but it's late and I need to
