Concerning the news posted on remembertheeightes.com, where did the
webmaster or person who posted the news obtain it from? The only
reason I ask is because the webmaster of SealFans.net said Seal has
yet to give a confirmed date yet, so I was wondering if the date is
an estimate, made-up figure or the one reported by the record
company. Either way it's just a joy to know that we have an album
coming. This is the most updated news from my website at
http://www.angelfire.com/co2/redwolf707/seal.html:
UPDATED NEW ALBUM NEWS: According to a February 3 SealFans.net
update, Seal has announced that his fourth album, once again self-
titled, is slated to be released this June contrary to the previous
release date of April. The album is mostly finished, according to
Seal, and is being mixed right now. Here is the tracklisting as it
stands now:
1. Get It Together
2. Touch (which Seal likens to the 2003 version of "Violet"
3. Waiting For You
4. Love's Divine
5. Don't Make Me Wait
6. Where There's Gold
7. My Vision (a new mix of the collaboration between Seal and Jakatta
last year)
8. Tinsel Town
9. Loneliest Star
10. Heavenly (no relation to "This Could Be Heaven")
11. Let Me Roll
12. In My Shoes or Surrender
According to a January 10 update at SealFans.com, Seal stated that
around the end of December 2001 he began writing new songs for a new
album because of problems with his record company. When Seal finally
presented the final product of his first version of Togetherland, the
heads at Warner Brothers Records were not pleased with the result. So
Seal decided to take a new direction towards the new album which was
reported to be more ambient, trip-hop and sensual or soulful. But
because Seal was going for a new sound, he dropped the "Togetherland"
moniker as well as placing all the songs from the first version into
the vault, perhaps for another artist to record someday.
This new album will once again be produced by long-time collaborator
Trevor Horn and is hailed by SealFans.net to have a "broader range of
music styles" while "at the same time remain true to Seal's original
sound." Returning to this album are musicians: Chris Bruce, Earl
Harvin, Gus Isidore and Jamie Muhoberac. Seal recorded the new album
back in London, England, a place Seal said helped "recapture the
sound of the first two albums," according to SealFans.net
Also be out on the look later this year when Seal's rendition of old
Nat King Cole's "Mona Lisa" will be released for the soundtrack to
the Julia Roberts movie of the same title.
More information on the upcoming album and the subsequent US and
Europe tour, which Seal said would begin after the album is released,
will be posted in the future when the news is released, so check back
frequently for updates. For any further information and most recent
updates on the new album visit: SealFans.net
