--So the SF Weekly had a contest open to
San Francisco DJs. The DJ they chose as the
best based on their mix CD gets flown to this
year's Winter Music Conference in Miami (a
big industry party for music nerds like me)
and will be playing for about 40,000 industry
types & spring break drunks at the Ultra
Music Festival, the closing party for WMC
(http://www.wmcon.com/evt_ultra.htm). I WON!
So I'll be going to Miami at the end of March.
I always bring mixes when I play out, so if
you don't have one yet you've gotta come to
one of my gigs! If you do have some of my
mixes, the winning mix was called "One Kiss."
And those who do come to my gigs - thanks!
It's no fun to play unless I've got cool
people to play for, and the support is

so the $5 cover will go towards his
$5,000 goal. It'll be a cozy gathering and
I'll be laying down smooth soulful tunes
6-8. Marcelino will be laying down the
sweet disco 8-10. It's at the 222 Club -
good & affordable food & drink specials!
