I had a great Halloween @ Cafe Flore! Check out some incriminating evidence here and listen to the mix below! The next night I was in a bit of a funk but still played a fun little party at El Rincon, then went by Pink to say hi to my buddy Hakobo, then ended up at The Underground for the always-great Gemini Disco party (1st Saturdays!) where I met with friends and exorcised a few demons on the dancefloor. And Sunday I heard DJ Teeko from local live hip-hop crew 4OneFunk DESTROY the decks at Sweater Funk! And I can't forget DJ Guillermo who always lays down some amazing stuff, and the sweetest new member of Sweater Funk - ShredOne - started her set with Aretha's "Jump To It" and kept it going from there! THIS WEEKEND (especially SUNDAY) will be equally great! Check it!

I am super-excited to be playing Sweater Funk! All week, I've been taking advantage of a cold I was feeling to stay locked inside pulling smelly, musty vinyl from my Argentine trip and from my voluminous record stacks. I'm gonna leave work early today to go shopping at Rooky Ricardo's too! I am packing some HEAT for this Sunday to blow your ass away! Show up! Aside from me, DJ B.Cause from 4OneFunk will be coming to blow up the decks! I've heard and totally dig B.Cause's turntablism &selectoring skillz. He is such a great DJ you don't realize that he's working ALL THE TIME during his sets, to make them so seamless & smooth that you don't realize how much he has done! He is a DJ's DJ, a dancer's DJ, and a hell of a guy! This will be a Sunday to remember!
