I hope you had a great weekend! I did! I saw Labelle on Friday (thanks, Tracey)! Saturday I did my KALX Best of 2008 show, and later DJ'ed the premiere of the Flihi  "Carne Tremula"  monthly party @ The White Horse in Berkeley! Flihi also blogged a bit about me!

This my friend's Mardi Gras club's BIG ASS Annual Masked Ball that rivals anything they do in New Orleans!  This year they are pulling out all stops and lowered their ticket price from $75 down to ONLY $20!  Whether or not you come in costume, with friends or alone, they promise you a GREAT TIME! Their beneficiary, Under One Roof, had to cancel their big gala last fall due to the economy and it was a big loss to over 30 HIV/AIDS agencies in the Bay Area.  Budgets are being cut and donations are way down ... so let's bump it up and pitch in to make sure People with HIV/AIDS get the services they need to maintain a decent quality of life. Another upcoming Fundraiser next Wednesday February 11, also for a wonderful cause is Old Skool Cafe's  "Swingin' at the Apollo" GALA Fundraiser, featuring award-winning Chef Eddie Blyden and entertainment by Old Skool Cafe Youth Interns.
