HOLD THE PRESS!!
THE JIVE ACES RELEASE THEIR BRAND NEW ALBUM!!!!!
The Jive Aces, the U.K's No.1 jive and swing band are releasing their
brand new album entitled "Life is a Game" on the 25th October.
This new CD features 14 swinging tracks of the hottest and the
coolest music around. With 10 originals including the title
track, "Life is a Game", a couple of swinging ballads with full big
band backing including strings and a tribute to three of our heroes
Louis Prima, Louis Jordan and Louis Armstong called "Three Cats
Called Louis" as well as four classics including Louis
Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" and the British wartime
favourite, "White Cliffs of Dover" as well as a rip-roaring version
of "Singing in the Rain" featuring the taps of tap dancing
extraordinaire, Rusty Frank, we think this album is "the best new
swing album for years" (and we're modest!).
Recorded at the Mad Hatter Studios in Hollywood, California, the
album was mixed my audio maestro Rik Pekkonen who has mixed albums
for B.B. King, Garth Brooks, Ricky Martin and more recently Jamie
Cullums' "Twenty Something" album.
The US release will be marked by a special pre-release concert at The
Derby in Hollywood on the 17th October. The show starts at 8:30pm and
is located at 4500 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, CA (cross street is
Hillhurst).
The UK release will be held at the 100 Club on the 25th Oct in
London. The show starts at 8:30pm and is located at 100 Oxford
Street, London.
Please pass this on to any and all freinds, mailing lists, websites
etc and see you all there!
Cheers, The Jive Aces
P.S. the album will be available from all good records shops across
the UK including HMV and online from www.amazon.com, www.amazon.co.uk
and www.play.com as well as other online shops
