Just letting you know about a new pop artist
set to hit MTV, VH-1, and other music video stations within the next month. We

pop singer/songwriter Daisy Hicks; not that the term 'country pop' adequately
sums up her music - there's also plenty of funk, heartfelt soul, soaring
ballads and sexiness going on. In fact, the pedigree of her co-writers will
probably tell you as much as anything about her sound: George MacFarlane
(Gabrielle), Malcolm Maddock (Shania Twain, Stevie
Wonder), and Aron Friedman (Backstreet Boys,
Elton John, Take
That). Throughout, though, it's Daisy's rich, warm, heartfelt singing
that shines through.




Released on Daisy's own Beautiful Soul Music label in 2006, Incredible, and two
accompanying singles, have
already had quick-fire success in Australia, the singles receiving extensive
airplay on over 150 commercial radio stations, and the video for If I Can't Make
It winning two awards. If I Can't Make It, the first UK single, will be
available for download from all the usual sources from 15th August,
and will receive a full release in September. The video will also be played on
MTV, VH-1, and other music video stations. A tour of the UK, Australia and SE
Asia will follow when finalised.




If the name seems familiar, this isn't Daisy's first release. In 2000,
having moved to London, she co-wrote and recorded an album called Mistress,
again with Aron Friedman. Three singles followed, receiving extensive play on
Radio
1, Radio 2, Capital FM, and regionally, as well as national TV appearances.




British born, but raised in Australia, Daisy is the daughter of well
known jazz drummer Tony Hicks; her Mum is a cousin of Chris Rea, with whom her
father grew up and went on to play drums for. So music has always been a part
of her life.




Daisy is an ambassador for Australia's National Breast Cancer
Foundation, and will be donating a percentage of each CD and download sale of
Incredible to the charity.

her hanging on my bedroom wall. Its been a long dry spell for fans like me. she

The problem with deleting members is who do you delete. Unless there

people.

Unless we here from you, the spam has been one concern, and the
photos are another concern, but once the photos are added, it is
difficult to delete some of those also

The problem is with yahoo too. The owners should have the option of
viewing photos before they are posted, much like messages on the
board, and we can bann those who post them and delete the photos.

For those who might have complained to  yahoo, maybe you have
overlooked an important problem, and that is the owners themselves
are given limited access and limited descretion regarding who joins
We cannot stop spammers E mailing ,Instant messaging other members
and posting spam and Harrassing other members unless we are notified
of a problem.

Because we do not know who they are, we cannot ban the responsible
parties and we don`t believe banning members  just to be banning
members.  We are supervisiors of a great group, not dictators. It is
easy to accuse, and hurt the innocent people that are not at fault.

Diana and myself have discussed this problem of late, and unless
Yahoo corrects the above, or can make suggestions as to more options
to the owners of this group, we may have to terminate the group to
our dismay.

It is ashame that the majority of our members are responsible, are
here to make friends, and to communicate about Shania.

Diana and I are doing everything we can , but without help from
yahoo, it may be in vain.

I hope in time Yahoo will let you move your group out of the Adult
Category just ban some of the spam members.

Its sad how just the odd few can waste a very good group for the
rest of us. I had to click on accept to get back in this group. I
dont usally join an adult group and this should not be an adult
group. Hope you dont have to close the group and can try and get
