I'm sure most of you are like me. We don't really believe in
using the word "Best" when judging art. But since a career in
music is part art and part business, please consider what a
ranking can do to help a local musician or band you really dig.
Think
about which artists have moved your soul in some way during
the last year – ones that in your mind may be deserving of some
recognition.

In case you're wavering about whether Strings Attached might be
a good candidate for say: Best Strings, Best None of the Above
and/or Best Website; then consider some of the things we did in
2002 that might have affected your life:

- Presented 10 American Roots school shows to over 2000
kids

- Presented 9 Collaboration Concerts with: Ray Wylie Hubbard,
Eliza Gilkyson, Slaid Cleaves, Beth Ullman, Suzi Stern, Patrice
Pike, Kellye Gray, Abra Moore, Guy Forsyth, Michael Fracasso,
and Jimmy LaFave.

- Contributed a tune along with Ray Wylie to the sold out 10th
KGSR Broadcast CD benefiting SIMS

- Recorded album Faithful Heart with Sara Hickman and Live
album with Guy Forsyth

- Appeared numerous times on morning shows of KGSR, KUT,
and KLBJ

- Made music from our concerts available via the website

- Made photos from every concert available

- See our website for more:
http://StringsAttached.org

- Think about St. David's for best acoustic venue

By the way, we have a great show coming up this month with
Tish Hinojosa on Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. Get tickets at our website
http://StringsAttached.org

The show will focus on Mexican Folksongs with guests players:

Baroque Violinist Laurie Stevens
Tenor David Stevens will sit in on Harmony Vocals
Shy-Yi Huang - cello
Jason McKenzie - percussion
Will Taylor - arrangements, violin, viola, guitar
Hamilton Price - acoustic bass

Tickets at StringsAttached.org or call 419-4983 for more info

P.S. I won't tell you who I voted for in this email, but if you really
want to know send me a private email to will@... and
I'll email you back. Well I will say that Eliza Gilkyson in my
opinion deserves to be voted into the Hall of Fame!
