Hello there Mark. 'Boy Meets Girl' is on at Club Chu in Shibuya. Their website
is http://www.geocities.jp/sekinebmg/bmg_top.html
they play a selection of British indie and the stuff we like ie Takeko
Minekawa, Cornelius, Flipper's Guitar. The club is difficult to find. You have
to walk a fair way from Shibuya train station, I don't want to give instructions
because I can't remember too well how I got there. Best to print off a map and
show it to the Koban however if you've been to Japan before I bet you have
already experienced all this before. Suffice to say that it's in a basement
with a tiny sign outside. And it's pretty tiny inside too. But the crowd is
nice and friendly.
Another tip for anyone interested and my number one favourite club on in Tokyo
is Milk (The World's Greatest Enjoy Space) in Ebis located in the same building
as a cheesy British pub but in the basement.
Here is their website: http://www.milk-tokyo.com/
Go to Milk late, after 11 as they have gigs on for punk tots before that,
truely dreadful Greenday alike bands. However after 11 they have some great
experimental electronic music, people from the Boredoms have played there also
Junko Mizuno did a mural for them which is sadly not there any longer but when I
went someone was painting a fresh one whilst the djs played. It's a mix of live
music and djs and is absolutely fantastic.
Anyway good luck to you, ah to go to Tokyo again. . . You lucky thing.
By the way I only discovered Shimokitazawa just before I left Tokyo. It's
much cooler than Shibuya or Harajuku, lots of clothes and record shops and I
went to the most blinding gig in a live house there. Check it out if you have
time.

Felicity, can you remember the name of that club in
Tokyo? I'll be back in Japan at some stage, and would
really enjoy that kind of club. On 2003/2004 new years
eve I went to a Zoobombs concert in Tokyo- and
afterwards a DJ played a great selection. It's a pity
I wasn't in Tokyo long enough to discover where he
played regularly.
