I had heard Takako Minekawa did some Japanese TV commercial music and
remixes since she had her baby in 2000.
Jordan Scott ran into the first specific one I've found out about.
She seems to have been hired by Luaka Bop to make a remix for Moreno+2

Rhapsody also has it.
You can also pick just that track up on U.S. iTunes if you live in
the U.S.
Anyone run into anything else released from the last few years?
- and as for iTunes, it seems a company England last year apparently
licensed 3 of her better known songs for U.K. iTunes (if you live in
the U.K.) and made something called "Fantastic Cat EP". It gets me
curious as to the kind of record deal that went down considering it's
neither the complete albums nor new releases. There's cover art that
looks like Takako's own (her friend tam ochiai did the original 7"
art when it first came out) - and RMG Chart Entertainment who
licensed it seems to specialize in Irish music according to a quick
google. The tracks sound the same to me, but who knows, sometimes
tracks get changed a bit specifically so they can get a new release,
but as I mentioned, I just got curious why this came out so recently
in England.
