I. INTRO:
BLUESANCT is a label run by me, Michael Anderson (of Drekka / Turn Pale).
It is part of the Day2 Alliance and has been releasing experimental folk
and disjointed pop musics since 1995.

This past autumn saw tours by BLACK FOREST/BLACK SEA, DREKKA, ELEPHANT
MICAH, MINMAE, RIVULETS and STATIC FILMS... all winding out way throughout
the world to share songs with those who will listen.

Spring has new releases by STATIC FILMS and DREKKA (see below), as well as
an art 7" by MT. EERIE (ex-THE MICROPHONES) and the debut from Belgium's
ANNELIES MONSERÉ... plus many tours.

II. DREKKA - 'Extractioning' CD/BK (INRI075):

The second full-length CD release from Drekka will be out in stores March
1st, 2005.

A very special LTD EDITION version is available NOW exclusively via
Bluesanct. This version is limited to 75 copies and comes with a handmade
lyric book encompassing both the albums 'Extractioning' and 'Take care to
fall', as well as misc other writings.

Hand-bound and available for a VERY SHORT TIME... FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!

"It shows a strong progression towards complex songwriting and interesting
musical arrangements, including radically reworked covers CAT POWER and
DONOVAN. Affinity can be heard to contemporaries such as DEVENDRA BANHART,

from such luminaries as FLYING SAUCER ATTACK, COIL, HAFLER TRIO, CURRENT 93

III. STATIC FILMS - 'Love of Light' CD (INRI077):

The second full-length by STATIC FILMS was released January 18th, 2005.
Available for $9, post-paid in the US, directly from BLUESANCT.

"A coherent work of urgency not unlike Nico's 'Desertshore', Tim Buckley's
' Lorca' or Van Morrison's ' Veedon Fleece '; an empowering call-to-arms
rather than a sort of beaten-down surrender."

IV. 2004 release recap and 2005 release schedule:

2004 releases, still fresh and ready for love:
** VOLLMAR - 13 or so People who need chances CD (INRI074)
- Vollmar's second full-length for Bluesanct, following 'Every Place Is
Home' (2002).
"'13 or so People who need chances' is an exercise in traditional folk-song
story-telling with contemporary structural elements. Sounds are used to
narrate the songs and direct the listener into new settings while also
allowing Vollmar to create pieces that are both surreal and
expressionistic. Musically, he sounds simultaneously old (maybe Donovan
or Townes Van Zandt) and new (maybe Warn Defever or The Microphones)..."


** BLACK FOREST / BLACK SEA - Force Fields and Constellations CD (INRI076)
- second full-length from JR and Miriam (ex-THE IDITAROD).
"Backwards backwoods playing, electronic effects, a shortwave radio and
some knob twiddling are all incorporated into their sound, which twists
from traditional folk Americana to beatbox improv and back again. Nothing,
however, is quite what it seems, and this constant sound shifting gives
Alexander and Goldberg's musically metamorphic contribution to the New
Weird America cult an edge over the competition. For BF/BS are genuinely
strange." - The Wire

** ELEPHANT MICAH - Untied States of... CD (INRI067)
- second or third full-length by EMicah, depending how you count it.
"I had never heard Elephant Micah's music before and I couldn't be happier
that I did. I'm always pleased to hear a songwriter with a striking and
unique style in a genre so flooded with mediocrity. Although uneven at
times, The Untied States of Elephant Micah's soft and spacious songs serve
as a fitting reminder that there's beauty to be found in even the most vast
cornfields." - Fake Jazz


The next few releases will be:
** ANNELIES MONSERÉ - 'Helder' CD (INRI078)
- debut full-length from Belgian singer/multi-instrumentalist. MP3 sample
on site.

** MT. EERIE - 'I Whale' 7" (INRI079s)
- one-sided art single that will be as beautiful to look at as to listen to.

** v/a - BLUESANCT 10th ANNIVERSARY release (INRI080)
- not sure what form it will be in, but it will be lavish and extravagent,
we promise!

** DREKKA / RIVULETS collaborative CD (INRI081)
- should prove to be a wonderful meeting of the minds.
