I just love Skeeter, she was always so supportive to younger artists coming up. Didn't matter if they were country, Rock, whatever, she gave 'em support. I'd love to see a new book on Skeeter's life, but just like seeing her get into the Country Music Hall Of Fame, I won't hold my breath. I am so glad she wrote her life story. I treasure my copy of Bus Fare To Kentucky signed by Skeeter! On another note, Barbara Mandrell's dad, Irby, Passed away. Randy

Flashback: "Byrds Drop By Opry" We have heard about the Byrds visit to the Opry in 1968 but it is good to read about it again especially to see Skeeter's name in print once again. "Opry member Skeeter Davis was far kinder to the foursome, though. Spotting the Byrds in the parking lot, she reassured them, "Don't worry about those people in there. They just don't get it yet." Way to go, gal!!
