The nominees were announced today for the 2003 East Coast Music
Awards (ECMA) and Slainte Mhath's name came up a few times.

They are nominated for:

Group of the Year
Instrumental Artist/Group of the Year
Video of the Year - "Annie"

As one of the biggest music industry events in the country, the four-
day conference and awards show, February 13-16, 2003 in Halifax, Nova
Scotia, draws delegates from Atlantic Canada and around the world.
ECMA 2003 celebrates Atlantic Canadian contributions to music and
offers East Coast musicians an opportunity to showcase their talent
to key people in the music business as well as regional and national
audiences.

The East Coast Music Awards will broadcast live from the Metro Centre
in Halifax in a shared event - CBC Television and CBC Radio Two
(available online for those outside of Canada) - on Sunday, February
16 at 7:00 p.m. in most time zones (8:00 p.m. AT / 8:30 p.m. NT).

Tickets for the East Coast Music Awards will be on sale at the
Halifax Metro Centre Box Office beginning Wednesday, December 18th by
calling 902-451-1221.
