eyes of verotika / caught in the fall split 12" - if anyone ever tells
you that screamo kids don't know DIY, show them this record. awesome
hand made packaging, includes a zine too. musically, EoV are mixing up
their melodies, twinkles and their harshness in a way similar to
staircase. screamy emo done right. caught in the fall are screamy too,
but more hardcore. i will have a couple more of these in a few weeks.
(4 copies, £5.75)
_______________________________

operative words. (1 copy £7)
_______________________________
deadsure - from your head to your sacrum cdep - 6 tracks on this cdep
of kind of dc-ish hardcore / emo on no idea. kind of hoover-y, maybe a
bit of policy of 3 and older at the drive in thrown in for good
measure. grooves. bass. dark. rather good.(2 copies, £5.50)
_______________________________
whiskey & co - s/t cd: no idea wrote this because i haven't had a
chance to listen to it yet, i am sure it's good! WHISKEY & Co.
traverse the American southern musical landscape, reveling in the
broad scenery of classic country music, the rich blend of current
alternative country standouts, and Americana in general. They combine
classic "outlaw country" influences such as Gram Parsons, David Allen
Coe, and Emmylou Harris, while keeping the punk rock attitude alive.
Kindred spirits include Rumbleseat, Lucero, and Uncle Tupelo. Within
WHISKEY & Co. is a dark past, relayed through their lyrics as a
troubled present and a clouded future, steeped in a strong
understanding of small town claustrophobia, alcohol and drug
addiction, the loss of love, and, ultimately, the compelling desire
for escape and redemption. (2 copies, £6.50)

it's not all gone-
\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

m blanket 7" - really scruffy DIY pop punk from 1993, kind of east bay
type sound, but i think they are from canada (3 copies, £2.50)
_______________________________
of death... - build a bridge and get over it cd : 8 tracks of hyper
insane emo violence. mix up reversal of man with over the top jeromes
dream style vox. (2 copies, £6.50)

Abilene and chisel drill hammer. pfft! that gives you some idea as to
what we have here any way. pop punk. just kidding. clear orange vinyl
(1 copies, £3)
_______________________________
under a dying sun - supernova 12" lp - kind of rushed my description
last time, so here is a better one. brand new one from these ex-emo
kids, now playing melodic post-hardcore indie rock that gets moody and
screamy at times, not really sure who to compare it too. pretty dark
sounding stuff on the whole. red vinyl. sexy. (3 copies, £8)
_______________________________
schematic of a waking life / stabyouintheheadandeatyourfaceoff - split
7" : nice name. schematic is epic screamy type stuff similar to early
hot cross in a way. stabyou is fast and rocking hardcore kinda like
light the fuse and run. (2 copies, £3)
_______________________________
the letters organize - everybody goes yeah...bash! cd : 8 tracks
crammed on to this. the letters organize are from atlanta and do you
some chaotic screamy hardcore with breaks and melodic bits. a bit like
the assistant in places (2 copies, £3.50)
_______________________________
lucero - that much further west cd - 12 new tracks of the country-ish

screamo / metal hardcore stuff. scary. rise from ruin was on that
split with spirit of versailles if you remember (2 copies, £3)
_______________________________
excelsior - hot shit sandwich cd : this cd compiles a copy of early
out of print records. wacked out rock like rye coalition in a way..
better than the darkness anyway. i think they are ex-encyclopedia of
american traitors or something like that (2 copies, £7.50)
_______________________________
four walls falling - food for worms cd - i found this buried under a
box of stuff, i bought it for some guy in the US but he never sent me
the money. i have no idea what it is like, it is still in it's shrink
wrap. on day after records. (1 copy, £5)
_______________________________
rob crow - my room is a mess cd - 18 songs of solo material from this
3 mile pilot / pinback dude. you know if you want it. (1 copies, £8)
_______________________________
toys that kill - control the sun 12" - i think this band is ex-FYP?
god knows, anyway, this is pretty different to what i normally get in.
i guess it is kinda edgey rock music like rocket from the crypt but a
bit poppier! very difficult to explain. some songs are more rock, and
some are more melodic. clear gold/yellow vinyl with a picture of a cat
in a spacesuit on the label on the b-side. rockage for someone who
likes rock. (2 copies, £8)
_______________________________
infidel? castro! / friendly bears - split 12" - cool names! this is a
split 12" on rice control (rachel, amalgamation...). infidel? castro!
make a ridiculously noisy noise. imagine if you were quite scared.
that is infidel? castro! friendly bears is more ear friendly with some
rocking math rocking. bring your calculator. it is jazzy and makes me
think of that leeds band diesel vs steam. both sides of this record
play at different speeds, how about that! (3 copies, £6)
_______________________________
north lincoln - viaje - cdep - 6 tracks of melodic and rocking punk
from michigan in the vein of jawbreaker and stuff like that. if you
like the kind of tuneful DIY spirited punk stuff that no idea records
puts out, you will like this band. (2 copies, £4)

outside other peoples shows. pink vinyl, load records - tells you
everything you need to know. this lp is dedicated to the denver
broncos. BOO! go eagles! (1 copies, £7)
_______________________________
the south - sick pits bro sesh 7" - 4 more songs of powerful screamy
hardcore from the south. sounds a bit harsher than their lp, it's more
thrashy like palatka. i've tried a few of the copies of this and the
first track on the b-side seems to skip pretty bad on all copies. bad
pressing i guess. the rest of it is fine though. (1 copies, £2.25)
_______________________________
blame game / zann - blame game is jazzy and chaotic hardcore / emo
from the US that has a Gravity flavour and is like Off Minor crossed
with the Vida Blue. Zann is pummelling metal / hardcore from europe

END NOTES:

* http://mysite.freeserve.com/andy_malcolm/records.html - my 7" sales list
* http://mysite.freeserve.com/andy_malcolm/records2.html - my LP&CD
sales list
* mix cd: for a quid i'll burn you a bunch of mp3's to a playable CDR.
i only have 60 or so mp3's, and they are mostly recent obscure emo /
screamo bands that have not put much out (if anything)
* requests: if there is anything you want on the wholesale list at
stickfigure: http://stickfiguredistro.com/records/wholesale/ - i can
probably get it for you (but be aware - a lot of the stuff listed is
unavailable i have found). give me a shout, but be reasonable, 2 or 3
things a person is best, and if you want to make requests i'd prefer
that also you buy a bunch of stuff that is in stock too otherwise it's
not fair on me :)
