SNCL RELEASES (get in touch for wholesale info)

shermer / the machines will take over split 10" : both bands bring the
beard as they gruff their way through two top notch sides of melodic
hardcore / punk, playing at the rawer end of the hot water music /
small brown bike spectrum. aces! £4 - (SNCL#4)

NEW JAMS:

black heart procession - the spell 12" lp : if you figured out how to
play a 3 mile pilot album at 16rpm it would sound like bhp. you
probably knew that already. sorry this is expensive, but that's the
way it is with big shot bands like this, and it'll be cheaper than you
indie record store anyway. this is some quality. £9

black lips - let it bloom 12" lp : hipper than hip garage punk,
replete with dated production to ensure that it sounds like some
hidden gem that your dad bought in the 60s and then left to get mouldy
in the loft for the next 4 decades. this is rougher and rawer than a
burger from that van that parks outside the rock club you left at 2am
on sunday morning : £6

cinemechanica - the martial arts 12" lp : RESTOCK! grab this if mathy
punk rock is your bag. compared to faraquet and drive like jehu. this
is seriously good shit, and i hate technical music! has enough of a
rough edge to win me over : £7

drive like jehu - s/t 12" lp : RESTOCK! still essential : £6

fm bats - bats are out to harm 12" lp : christ this is a bit weird. ex
le shok (todd jacobs), 8 tracks, 45rpm. fucked up punk, like you might
expect from a band that has a guy who was in le shok. vocals are
filtered through a giant toilet roll then amplified. crivvens. £5

functional blackouts - the severed tongue speaks for everyone 12" lp :
snarling garage punk / rock and roll. fuzzed up, trebly and distorted,
this is pretty wild and out of control. on criminal iq records. check
this out if you are in the mood for punk that is uncompromisingly raw.
you're in for a treat £6

heavy vegetable - 2 records for the price of 1 2 x 12" lp : oddball
indie rock from that pinback guy, compiles 2 lps (frisbie and 'the
amazing undersea adventures...') : £7

jason collett - idols or exile 12" lp : alt country / americana /
indie-pop effort that the sticker on the front says dylanesque, which
is always a strange one to throw around as how is anyone supposed to
live up to that? anyway, this is really really nice, the guy has a
great lazy voice and the music is sweet as. if you like recent stuff
on subpop you will probably like this a lot : £6

mass movement of the moth - finale 10" lp : man, laser gun effects and
screamin' galore. retains a feel of witching hour whilst sprinkling in
a modern take on the all out chaos. brutal skramz : £6

pyramids - following the tracks 12" lp : gorgeous gatefold for this
band playing hefty screamy hardcore. ex a petal fallen / holy fucking
spirit, this dispenses with some of the melody and replaces it with an
unstoppable force. collector geeks can wet themselves over the
gorgeous gatefold packaging and sexy blue and white marbled vinyl : £6

runn-a-mucks - inferno 12" lp : rip roaring hardcore punk rock plied
with the right amount of rock'n'roll, coming at you from six weeks
records like something out of the early 80s, e.g. jerrys kids / gang
green. kicks your arse, hard. £6

song of zarathustra - discog 10" : how much skramz can you take? angel
hair luv : £5.25

the like young - last secrets 12" lp : ex-wolfie get their energetic
power pop flowing on polyvinyl courtesy of this 180g wax. sweet
boy/girl rockage, ready for the summer that is currently in hiding : £8

they found my naked corpse face down in the snow / this ride home -
split 7" : naked corpse are emo violence throwbacks to the age of
witching hour. flailing around, spilling blood. this ride home blast
through 4 songs in the same ilk but with orchid's guitar sound and
some jeromes dream style squawking. awesome screen printed romantic
robots on the packaging too. yeow! party like its 1999, pick this up
if you're too young to remember the glory years. all violence, all the
time! both bands do this as well as any band i have heard try it since
occams razor : £2

they found my naked corpse face down in the snow / evening at the
black house - split 7" : naked corpse inject a little antioch arrow
into their violence right here, good stuff. still plenty of
destruction, this pisses on PAES. evening at the black house are
completely different, doing rocking punk rock and roll with a little
early drive like jehu : £2

three mile pilot - another desert, another sea 2 x 12" : essential
indie rock : £8

--

STILL HERE:

black castle / night wounds - split 7" : two screamy synth bands.
night Wounds' sound is a sort of rough, lo-fi, feedback driven
dance-punk ala Coughs or Black Dice during their "hardcore" era. Black
Castle's new track is more frantic than their previous work featuring
screamed vocals and dark, rushed keyboards and drums. : £2.50

bullets in - conceive 12" lp : absolutely stunning punk / emo,
everyone wants this! for fans of torches to rome / leatherface / hot
water music : £6

collin kramer / eyston - split 7" : collin kramer have a song called
belle epoque?! i can't work out who is on what side here. anyway, the
first song sounds like breakwater or some other mid 90s killerness.
then you get a weird jazzy emo thing (not like off minor though). then
on the flipside is some melodic spazzy indie/emo like cyan / kossabone
red, followed by a hyper emo-thrasher. this 7" could be 4 bands for
all i know, but its apparently just two. this is really good, haven't
sold any yet which is daft : £2.50

combatwoundedveteran / scrotum grinder split 7" : grindy messy
violence, just how you love it : £2.50

defiance, ohio - the great depression 12" lp : latest effort from
these happy clappers! : £6

as rapider than horsepower : £4

navies - an estate 12" ep : originally released on lovitt as a cdep,
taking influences ranging from punk and post-punk to european
psych-rock : £6

night & the city / the take split 7" : quality split of melodic punk
and emotional hardcore. awesome packaging too! £3

like it could have come out on simple machines perhaps. sitting

crank through some post punk of the highest calibre. like a saner
rapider or various bands you can name from the earliest 80s. cool!

orchid, but more like a sassy post witching hour band. posturing and
white belt wearing ahoy! : £2.50

mountains of coke, small talk death and snorklepuss... ?!?! i am sure
you have heard of every last one of them. DIY OR DYI : £2

watch it burn / altaira - split 7" : both bands offer up some really
good melodic hc/punk. altaira are not far from hot water music on
