sing and dance like elves! i have new records from tolkien obsessed
label, council records. here they are:
the shivering - wires of storm and song 7" (£2.50) - awesome melodic
emo that traverses the line somewhere between moonraker, navio forge
and current on this release. 3 tracks. the kind of release that
makes me swoon. ex-amber inn and ribbon fix too!
new granada - s/t 7" (£2.50) - 5 tracks of classic hardcore that
stands out because it has the singer from spirit assembly!!! do you
need any other excuse??? early 80's style, raw hardcore with amazing
(almost emo!) vocals, somewhere between minor threat and rites of
spring. wow.
26th comp 7" (£2.50) - bev clone, constatine sankathi, nema,
wallside, mainspring. from 1995.
STILL HERE:
senneval - 7" - mi padre el hondero de la pistola £3 - Orchid-esque
screamo / emo violence. 6 songs. splatterfest.
the pine 12" £8 (1 copy) - 10 songs of classic melodic emo in the
vein of the first evergreen 7", but with
whinier vocals. the drumming rules. also reminds me of lumber. they
have evergreens guitar sound down to a
tee, and have an element of really early promise ring going on too.
this is beautifully done and the presentation side of things is emo
to the max (black vinyl, hand written lyrics, screened cover). i <3
the pine. DIY emo forever!
Kurt 12" - £6 : spastic rocknroll from this german band.
if you enjoyed that 10 volt shock 7" that i had in, you will more
than likely enjoy this (they share members). elements of jehu and
punk rock...
Dead Inside 10" - £7.25 : new tracks from one of the better HC bands
in the UK. i liken them to John Henry West and Heroin. cool. i have
some on white vinyl, some on black.
Examination of the CD £5.50 : heavy, punishing emo violence /
screamo in the style of Neil Perry or anything on Robotic
Empire.
To Dream of Autumn / Bright Calm Blue 7" £3 : back in
stock! TDoA is typical heavy screamo, BCB rock out in Bob Tilton
fashion with an awesome long song.
the Exploder 'cut the cord' CDEP £5.50 : 5 tracks of
spastic emo / hc, a cross between Shotmaker and 12 Hour Turn
Walkie Talkie Zine Issues 2 & 3 (£2 each) : awesome 'comic' from
Nate Powell of Soophie Nun Squad. issue 2 is abstract, whilst issue
3 is emo as fuck.

that is all. i will see you at mount doom.
