this came in today. i have 4 copies of a split 7" between the
absurdly named 'kwakiutl cannibal society' and 'against the odds'.
it has absurdly childlike emo packaging - coloured sugar paper
envelope sealed with wax (!) lyric sheet stuck together by star
stickers. against the odds are pretty basic singy-screamy melodic hc
with weird fuzzy production, i was not too into them, but kwakiutl
do a real good job of the saetia / portrait / i robot style. lots of
emo-ness going on and some talky bits too. 2 songs that i like a
lot. this is £2.50.

i also have one copy of a 7" by a band called 'building on fire',
they play technical screamy-metal, i don't really know bands who
play this sort of thing so i can't make a comparison and it's not
the sort of thing i am into. basically if you like that angry metal
stuff that isn't too straight forward, maybe like kneejerk's last
album? heh. clear greeny/blue vinyl and elaborate packaging. this is
£2.
