well, here is a bunch of new stuff, probably the last big order before
xmas so if you need a present for your mother or sister, buy them the
new sicarii LP, they will surely love the brutal metal contained
within it's grooves!
other than that, i hope there is something here that you have been
looking for.
love,
andy

GRANDPARENTS

airmail - harmony m cdr - this is one guy who used to be in providence
union (remember them? probably not!). it's a full album of chilled out
ambient / electro stuff, quality late night listening (2 copies, £3)
damien jurado 7" - 2 song 7" on secretly canadian, you'll now if you
want it (1 copy, £3.50)
darius axis 7" - i have no idea who these kids are. listening to the
first song on here - i can't help but think is the evergreen revival
well and truly on??? the first song on the b-side is poppier and more
polished, and the 2nd one is urgent and rocking like rites of
spring??? out of nowhere, this is class! also they use the blotty
royal pain font in their insert.
find him and kill him / the dream is dead split 7" - fhakh is fast and
straight up angry hardcore, vaguely born againsty but more finger
pointing! they do 4 songs. comes with a booklet telling you what is
fucked up with hardcore and how they want to change it. the dream is
dead play screamy/metally hc. in case you didn't know already about
what was fucked up. (3 copies, £3)
last crime - s/t 10" - back in! (iain and alex h, i have put your
copies aside already). awesome and under-rated hardcore band that
mixes up slint and more agressive emo stylings, this is band passed
under the radar for most. miss at your peril (3 copies, £4.50)
pg.99 / circle takes the square split 7" - this one probably needs no
introduction. it looks like an old witching hour release. pg.99 are up
to their old techy metal style here, ctts play breathless late 90's
scrreamo type stuff. portrait, spirit of versailles etc. gruff male +
desperate female vocals. really good, i like this side more than pg99.
this will go like hot cakes. good job i have 9 copies eh! (9 copies, £3)
sicarii 12": 45rpm, a monster metal album. fast and pretty heavy.
stickfigure says: "Olympia, washington's sicarii's debut full length
is six tracks of heavy but melodic at points hardcore that definitely
draws upon such influences as one eyed god prophecy and some of the
modern screamo bands" (2 copies, £7)
songs ohia: another 2 song 7" on secretly canadian. once again, you
know if you want it (1 copy, £3.50)
transistor transistor - put down 7" - i have had this in before. it's
the green one with the pills on the front. anyway, t*2 play classy
booty shaking hardcore, occasionally reminding of shotmaker. very much
a level plane type band! though this release is on coptercrash. (5
copies, £3)
TRAVIS FEST:
song of zarathustra new 12" : wOOt1! (4 copies, £7)
book of dead names 12" : wOOt2! (4 copies, £7)

GRANDCHILDREN
***********************
Wheels - s/t 7" - a pair of tracks from these Lunduners! Jellyed eels
ahoy as they crash through some melodic hardcore that brings to mind
bands like Dead Inside, Jehu and even Party of Helicopters. smart! (5
copies, £2.25)
_______________________________
Tristeza / Lemko Hall split 7" - new(ish) material from the 'steza and
Lemko Hall, who are Scandinavian. tristeza is pleasant electronica /
minimalism - different to their normal style. lemko is a bit of spacey
and slow post rock. (1 copies, £3.50)
_______________________________
max colby discog cd - found another copy! (1 copies, £7.50)
_______________________________
ETA - we are the attack 7" - brand new thrash on deranged records, i
think this may also be on enslaved? sounds like how you would expect
it to sound! (£3, 2 copies)
_______________________________
Red Rumsey - solo, droney / partly acoustic 7" from vern rumsey
(unwound) on TMU. 2 tracks, probably limited to 4 copies or something,
oh wait, 500 (£3, 1 copies)
_______________________________
Transistor Legion 7" - heh. i don't even know if i paid for these? i
was talking with the guy on e-mail about getting them back in august,
then it went quiet and they suddenly arrived today! i can't remember
if i ever paid him or not. how weird. anyway this is melodic and kinda
rocky like under a dying sun, with screamy bits. they even do one
really really long song. (6 copies, £1.50)
_______________________________
Funeral Diner / Zann - tour 7" - ok, i grabbed a bunch of copies of
these just in case anyone was unable to pick one up at a show. Funeral
Diner you should be familiar with, they play their screamy emo super
well and fit in the middle of Yaphet Kotto and Envy. very fine. this
is their first recorded stuff with the new singer (ex-Walken), and i
prefer his screams to the old guy. Zann didn't play the show i got to
see, but i wasn't that fussed about that. they play heavy assed
hardcore which is all over the shop. if you like heavy german stuff
you will probably like them too. (4 copies, £2.50)
_______________________________
Funeral Diner - the wicked CDEP - 3 more songs of Funeral Dinerosity!
collect them all to be eligibile for a free Funeral Diner cap and
cheque book! also has the new singer guy on board. (5 copies, £3.50)
_______________________________
Remains of a Caveman / Small Sailor - split zine - smart lil zine
between two south coast entities here. RoaC is by my friend Adam and
has lots of neat stuff, some personal tidbits, some 'road trips'
(which i was lucky enough to participate in!) and some zine reviews,
plus an interview with 'the amputees' (who you might be familiar
with). small sailor is a little more into the punk rock music and has
some stuff on household name aswell as some stories and reviews. (£1,
13 copies)
_______________________________
limpwrist 12" - raa! total hardcore from these puffs! or something!
this is fantastic and pretty cheap too. this is the version on la vida
es un mus (1 copies, £5.50)
_______________________________
crush my calm - vol 2 7" - melodic emo / hardcore stuff with a touch
of the amber inn's. (1 copies, £3)
_______________________________
the cosmos / lorna split 7" - the cosmos song here is pretty different
to their cd! kind of folksie indie, very downbeat and sorta slow. dual
boy+girl vocals i think! and there is no girl on the cd. really nice.
lorna do an extremely spacey and slow number with a variety of
instruments like trumpet, piano and violin, interestin'! (1 copies, £2.50)
_______________________________
jinx 7" - 2 track single on uber thick vinyl, strange kind of
indie/folksy stuff, the guy who sold it to me compared it to Low but
that is not really accurate, it is more in that Ida type direction
with male and female vocals and a bit darker too. (1 copies, £2.50)
______________________________
little milton 7" : spazzy emo violence stuff frmo germany, wrenched
vocals and pretty off kilter. brings to mind bands like the vida blue
or off minor in some ways. rocking! i have 10 copies, eek. (£2.25, 2
copies)
_______________________________
semionaside / the host sepia + nimbuscloud - smart electronica split
12", the host sepia features tim from soon the darkness! no screamo
though. the host sepia + nimbuscloud side is dark, the semionaside a
bit more melodic. very cool! (£5 - 4 copies)
_______________________________
tidal / acabah rot split 12 - tidal is crushing german emo / screamo
and acabah rot is more melodic, with keyboards. very catchy! tidal is
way better than their 10" here, this is powerful stuff. (£5.50 - 2 copies)
_______________________________
walkie talkie #4 - new issue of this emo comic! drawn by nate powell
of soophie nun-squad. (2 copies - £2)
