feast your eyes on this lot my friends, feast your eyes on this lot...
much things that are as wilfully obscure as ever (and some less so),
going through this order listening to things so i knew what to write
in descriptions was dead fun. this is often as much an adventure in
guesswork for me as it is for you.
i hope there is something there for you, i don't have much moolah
right now because of the massive stickfigure order you see before your
eyes plus a few things have been hanging around my room waiting for
payment plus i have a fair few unsold things. so if yer feeling flush,
help an overdrawn bastard out! ;)
just teasing. take a look at the UK's #1 home for obscure and badly
recorded emo! if you send me e-mails on friday during the day i am not
going to be able to give you a straight answer on what is in because
i'll be at work but i'll do my best.
lots of love,
andy - x

reversal of man / combatwoundedveteran 12" - this'll be gone within 10
minutes of this mail going out. if you bought this on cd, go buy stuff
from assembly line or something and get off my distro list, jeez. (£7,
7 copies)
_______________________________
light the fuse and run 7" - new 7", can't be bothered to describe it
because everyone who wants it will buy it anyway. great band. (£2.50,
4 copies)
_______________________________
aim of conrad 7" - on watson and the shark, aim of conrad plays same
pretty danceable rock and roll type stuff that fits with bands like
transistor transistor. or kind of like if the new Song of Zarathustra
crossed with a bit of Hail Mary? hard to pin down (£2.50, 2 copies)
_______________________________
apoplexy twist orchestra / louise cyphre 10" - the germans still love
their emo violence! one band on here sounds very orchid-esque, the
other is a bit more spastic, interspersing usurp / perry style fits
with awesome emo parts. i like this band more but i can't work out who
is who right now. sexy thick yellow vinyl and nice packaging. (£6.25,
4 copies)
_______________________________
anton boardman 7" - dude? it's on clean plate. 2 man hardcore chaos
spazz. song explanations. 1 person other than me wants this i expect
(1 copy, £3)
_______________________________
wolves lp - you have this on cd? are you some kind of loser? wolves is
ex-orchid and last 40 seconds i think? VINYL VINYL VINYL (4 copies £8.50)
_______________________________
the south - chomp 12" - oh man. this record looks awesome before i
even put it on. screen printed white cover, not much info, it looks
like the i hate myself lp. this is the kind of record i do a distro
for, tracking down the obscure emo gem that comes out of nowhere.
harsh screamy vox, amazing music, politicized, this pisses all over
what passes for screamo these days. good lord, this is perfect, i am
so sorry i only have 2 copies, emo kids will die for this record in 3
years time. (£6.50, 2 copies)
_____________________________________
omega cinco / point of few split 7" - this smokes. omega cinco is
spanish emo violence in the old style, you know like palatka or
whatever. harsh vocals and very fast. i love it. point of few is angry
dutch hardcore and they are fucking fast and tight. sometimes they
sound like early combatwounded. wow, whilst listening to all my
slow/quiet shit lately i forgot hardcore was that good, this turns
that on it's head. really, fucking, good. 10 songs! (4 copies £3)
_________________________
spitting teeth 7" - fast thrash / skatecore on havoc. sounds exactly
like you would expect it to sound. shitty recording. fast. not had any
of this kind of stuff in for a while so thought i'd grab a couple. go!
8 songs (one of which is called 'the kids are rad'), not as many as
the above record, they're obviously ripping you off. (£2.25, 2 copies)
_______________________________
black eyes / early humans 7" - yeah, this is the planaria version
that'll make you way cooler than the people who have the other version
or something. this is pretty weird and i am not in the mood to write a
description for it. go do a search on google. (£2.75, 2 copies)
_______________________________
providence union - die me infinity cd - these guys had a 7" ages ago.
this is their album. bit 12 hour turny at times. (£5, 1 copy)

band from the mid 90's, indian summer crossed with nirvana. lap it up,
they ruled. (£5.50, 3 copies)

is all-time french emo. ivich is some band on the other side. (£3, 3
copies)

etcetera etcetera. (£3, 3 copies)
_______________________________

_______________________________
walken / senneval - OMG OMG OMG! WALKEN IS PRE-FUNERAL DINER
OMG!1111111111 wtf! well, the current funeral diner singer is in
walken. senneval plays off kilter screamo, like off minor in a way.
walken play gnarly metal, i like this and i hate metal. (£3, 4 copies)
_______________________________
negative approach - tied down 12" - no shit! i found some of the first
press in my loft and i am selling them off cheap! come and get it!

it's negative approach. (£9, 2 copies)

songs from the best emo band on planet earth! (5 copies, £2.50)

get of these, sometimes no-one wants one, sometimes everyone does. oh
well. (3 copies, £1.25)
******
FAMINE
******
hablan por espalda 12" - interesting mix of hardcore / emo / punk,
half of this brings to mind things like Song of Zarathustra and
Transistor Transistor - very catchy and danceable. the other half is
more punk rock, like Rights Reserved. hard to put a finger on it. this
band is from uruguay of all places! great record. (£8.50 3 copies)
_______________________________
oliver twist - new tricks LP - quirky German indie rock, danceable but
offbeat. mixes faster Modest Mouse with other stuff. X-Mist says:
"while on their previous releases comparisons to CHISEL and/or ROBOCOP
KRAUS were evident, on this great new record they sound more like a
young, fresh and non-predictable version of bands like LIFTER PULLER
or LES SAVY FAV!" (2 copies, £7.50)
_______________________________
amanda woodward - ultramort mcd - very nice, screened card packaging
going on here. musically it is melodic with harsh or talky vocals.
kind of like some of the older french style crossed with braid and a
whole lot of other stranger influences, not enitrely what i was
expecting in places! (2 copies, £5)
_______________________________
city of caterpillar - demo/live 12" - early coc. nice. black vinyl.
(£6.00, 3 copies)
_______________________________
Wheels - s/t 7" - a pair of tracks from these Lunduners! Jellyed eels
ahoy as they crash through some melodic hardcore that brings to mind
bands like Dead Inside, Jehu and even Party of Helicopters. smart! (3
copies, £2.25)
_______________________________
ETA - we are the attack 7" - brand new thrash on deranged records, i
think this may also be on enslaved? sounds like how you would expect
it to sound! (£3, 1 copies)
_______________________________
Red Rumsey - solo, droney / partly acoustic 7" from vern rumsey
(unwound) on TMU. 2 tracks, probably limited to 4 copies or something,
oh wait, 500 (£3, 1 copies)
_______________________________
Transistor Legion 7" - heh. i don't even know if i paid for these? i
was talking with the guy on e-mail about getting them back in august,
then it went quiet and they suddenly arrived today! i can't remember
if i ever paid him or not. how weird. anyway this is melodic and kinda
rocky like under a dying sun, with screamy bits. they even do one
really really long song. (5 copies, £1.50)
_______________________________
limpwrist 12" - raa! total hardcore from these puffs! or something!
this is fantastic and pretty cheap too. this is the version on la vida
es un mus (1 copies, £5.50)
_______________________________
crush my calm - vol 2 7" - melodic emo / hardcore stuff with a touch
of the amber inn's. (1 copies, £3)
_______________________________
jinx 7" - 2 track single on uber thick vinyl, strange kind of
indie/folksy stuff, the guy who sold it to me compared it to Low but
that is not really accurate, it is more in that Ida type direction
with male and female vocals and a bit darker too. (1 copies, £2.50)
______________________________
semionaside / the host sepia + nimbuscloud - smart electronica split
12", the host sepia features tim from soon the darkness! no screamo
though. the host sepia + nimbuscloud side is dark, the semionaside a
bit more melodic. very cool! (£5 - 4 copies)
_______________________________
tidal / acabah rot split 12 - tidal is crushing german emo / screamo
and acabah rot is more melodic, with keyboards. very catchy! tidal is
way better than their 10" here, this is powerful stuff. (£5.50 - 1 copies)
