probably the last big update for a few weeks though there are several
bits and pieces on the way that i am looking forward to. don't expect
the south lp's for a couple of months as i can't afford to send the
money for 2 weeks, and then the guy is shipping them to me at surface
rates so that they'll be dead cheap (probably £5.50 postpaid). anyway,
here's what i have right now...

1905 - voice cd - politcal punk rock with male and female vocals, some
of it screamed, some of it sung. lots of melody, very good.
recommended for those who like to read lyrics. (£7, 1 copies)
_______________________________
aleatoric - forever yours 7" - harsh, metallic stuff with very screamy
vocals and some more melodic / sung parts. too metal to be considered
screamo. (£2.50 - 4 copies)
_______________________________
books lie - empathy 7" - 3 song 7" on carmen diablo, this one still
has the wonderful eric owens on vocals, it has one track from the
album. reminds me of the stupidly under-rated genre that is north
carolina hardcore (cornelius, unherd, rights reserved...) (£2.50, 1
copies)
_______________________________
examination of the... mcd - lady in the radiator - more noise from
these folks (ex-spirit of versailles, eclipse of eden) - a bit more
technical and brutal then their debut. it's scary metal/hardcore with
screamed vocals (3 copies, £6.50)
_______________________________
hot cross / light the fuse and run 7" - uh, i got some more. (£3, 3
copies)
_______________________________
bitter life typecast cd - 11 tracks of indie rock a long the lines of
Mineral and that kind of 1997 style. whiney vox and jangly guitars.
(£5.50, 6 copies)
_______________________________
seein' red / the now denial - seein' red, you're probably familiar
with their brand of hardcore. the now denial sit on the other side
playing modern, rocking hardcore that fits with stuff like early jr
ewing but less crazy. (£3, 2 copies)
_______________________________
sometimes walking, sometimes running mcd - if you've heard their split
7" you might no what to expect from this frantic emo band. 5 songs of
stuff with a big emo booklet too. kinda like the earlier city of
caterpillar stuff, not totally straight forward. multi-screamed
vocals, this is noisy and has intense grooves. fuckin' good uns!
(£5.50, 1 copies)
_______________________________
the nineteen of salem 7" - 2 things going on here. meandering talky
emo bits (like anasarca) crossed with very harsh screamed metal parts.
(£3, 2 copies)
_______________________________
running on empty zine - neat little zine from a chap called jon who
buys a bunch of stuff from me. enthusiastic stuff focusing on music
with reviews and interviews of ignition label / distro, slingshot
round the moon and a couple of others. (50p, 4 copies)

fiction 12" - probably the least hyped release on level plane since
the state secedes? nobody ever talks about this record, guess it's not
hip. fiction play screamy hardcore that is par for the course. rough
vocalled, speedy. good fun! (£6.50, 4 copies)
_______________________________
calvary 12" - fantastic lp from this ex-current band. kind of a mix of
current, rites of spring and stuff like mission of burma. hope that
helps! i love this album (2 copies, £7.75)
_______________________________
reversal of man / combatwoundedveteran 12" - if you bought this on cd,
go buy stuff from assembly line or something and get off my distro
list, jeez. (£7, 2 copies)
_______________________________
apoplexy twist orchestra / louise cyphre 10" - the germans still love
their emo violence! one band on here sounds very orchid-esque, the
other is a bit more spastic, interspersing usurp / perry style fits
with awesome emo parts. i like this band more but i can't work out who
is who right now. sexy thick yellow vinyl and nice packaging. (£6.25,
2 copies)
_______________________________
ivich / jasemine 7" - believe it! i forgot i ordered these. jasemine
is all-time french emo. ivich is some band on the other side. (£3, 1
copies)
_______________________________
walken / senneval - OMG OMG OMG! WALKEN IS PRE-FUNERAL DINER
OMG!1111111111 wtf! well, the current funeral diner singer is in
walken. senneval plays off kilter screamo, like off minor in a way.
walken play gnarly metal, i like this and i hate metal. (£3, 3 copies)
_______________________________
hablan por espalda 12" - interesting mix of hardcore / emo / punk,
half of this brings to mind things like Song of Zarathustra and
Transistor Transistor - very catchy and danceable. the other half is
more punk rock, like Rights Reserved. hard to put a finger on it. this
band is from uruguay of all places! great record. (£8.50 3 copies)
_______________________________
oliver twist - new tricks LP - quirky German indie rock, danceable but
offbeat. mixes faster Modest Mouse with other stuff. X-Mist says:
"while on their previous releases comparisons to CHISEL and/or ROBOCOP
KRAUS were evident, on this great new record they sound more like a
young, fresh and non-predictable version of bands like LIFTER PULLER
or LES SAVY FAV!" (1 copies, £7.50)
_______________________________
Wheels - s/t 7" - a pair of tracks from these Lunduners! Jellyed eels
ahoy as they crash through some melodic hardcore that brings to mind
bands like Dead Inside, Jehu and even Party of Helicopters. smart! (3
copies, £2.25)
_______________________________
Red Rumsey - solo, droney / partly acoustic 7" from vern rumsey
(unwound) on TMU. 2 tracks, probably limited to 4 copies or something,
oh wait, 500 (£3, 1 copies)
_______________________________
Transistor Legion 7" - heh. i don't even know if i paid for these? i
was talking with the guy on e-mail about getting them back in august,
then it went quiet and they suddenly arrived today! i can't remember
if i ever paid him or not. how weird. anyway this is melodic and kinda
rocky like under a dying sun, with screamy bits. they even do one
really really long song. (2 copies, £1.50)
_______________________________
limpwrist 12" - raa! total hardcore from these puffs! or something!
this is fantastic and pretty cheap too. this is the version on la vida
es un mus (1 copies, £5.50)
_______________________________
crush my calm - vol 2 7" - melodic emo / hardcore stuff with a touch
of the amber inn's. (1 copies, £3)
_______________________________
semionaside / the host sepia + nimbuscloud - smart electronica split
12", the host sepia features tim from soon the darkness! no screamo
though. the host sepia + nimbuscloud side is dark, the semionaside a
bit more melodic. very cool! (£5 - 4 copies)
_______________________________
tidal / acabah rot split 12 - tidal is crushing german emo / screamo
and acabah rot is more melodic, with keyboards. very catchy! tidal is
way better than their 10" here, this is powerful stuff. (£5.50 - 1 copies)
_______________________________
walkie talkie #4 - new issue of this emo comic! drawn by nate powell
of soophie nun-squad. (2 copies - £2)
