Sounds of Concord Free Performance


The Sounds of Concord, an award-winning 45-man
Barbershop chorus, is hosting a free
public “Competition Send Off” performance in Bedford
on Thursday, October 21st at St. Michael’s Parish
Hall, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, MA at 8:30 pm. They
will perform a varied repertoire including songs
prepared for their District contest the following
Saturday. Several competing quartets including
Applause!, Concord Express, Simple Pleasure, and
Boston Accent will also sing during the evening.
Refreshments will follow. This Massachusetts top
ranked Barbershop chorus will compete in the
Northeastern District competition of the Barbershop
Harmony Society in Lowell, MA on Saturday, October
23rd. The winner in Lowell, MA will represent the
district at the International Competition next July in
Salt Lake City, Utah. . The Sounds of Concord meets
every Thursday evening at St. Michael’s Parish Hall,
90 Concord Rd, at 7:30 pm. The chorus is
actively seeking men who are interested in a cappella
close harmony singing and vocal
instruction, provided by some of the top coaches and
instructors in the country.
