The 4th Annual Texas International Blues Fest
This is the big one! A full two days, no less
than 20 hours of great live blues from Texas and around the world.
Headliners are Cold Blue Steel, the Fabulous Chickenhawks,
and Alan Haynes but there's lots more! Other great bands
scheduled are Janna Britton & Abbeville, the Blues Hunters, Pete
Barbeck & Seventh Son, the Todd Tijerina Band, the Groove Daddies,
the Jimihardblues Band, JMAC & Hepcat DeVille, John Lisi & Delta
Funk, Tim Wheeler & the Soul Shufflers, Christian Brooks & the
Roadrunners, Shakleford Brown, Voodoo Healin', the Randy Willis Band,
Goin' Postal, the Oliver White Group, Reflections, Phillip Brown &
Triple Threat, Pursey Posey, and very special guest star Mark
Pollock. Lots of guests and special surprises too!
Doors open each day at 1:30, music
starts at 2:00 and runs until 12:00. Only $15 at

Every
Wednesday the Sons hosts a Swing
Dance. Lessons from 9:00 to 10:00 with music & dancing
until midnight. All ages welcome, smoke and aerial free, only $5 at
the door. $1 off if you dress in 40's or 50's attire or donate
non-perishable food for the local food bank. Think you can't
dance? You're wrong! Come on by and we'll show you.
It's too much fun.
Every Thursday
the Sons hosts an Acoustic Jam
Session. The only thing electric is the campfire. Whether
you've been playing for 15 days or 15 years, bring your instrument and
join the fun. All styles, all acoustic instruments, and all skill
levels welcome. Pick & grin, sing & play, or just listen
& enjoy with the friendly folks at the Sons. You never know who
is going to show up and sit in. The music starts around 7:00 and
there's no cover.
