Hi everyone. I just received an invitation to this group, and I
thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a rock/pop musician and huge music
fan in general, and I live in Greensboro, NC. I write and record
music on my own, and I'm also the lead singer of a live rock band
called The Big Secret.

My favorite guitarist is Warren Cuccurullo, who got his start playing
with Frank Zappa in the late '70s, formed the new wave band Missing
Persons in the early '80s, was Duran Duran's guitarist for most of
the band's career thus far (although he's no longer with them), and
he's also put out several amazing, groundbreaking solo albums.

Some of my favorite artists and musical influences are Duran Duran,
Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, Jellyfish, Splender, Tool, A Perfect
Circle, 30 Seconds to Mars, China Drum, Frou Frou, Depeche Mode,
Garbage, Republica, Ivy, The Cardigans, Milla, Stone Temple Pilots,
Buckethead, Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, bond, BT and 2 Skinnee J's.

I released my first CD, "Shooting the Decoy," last year, and it's for
sale online. 100 percent of the profits from online sales go to the
charity RAINN. I wrote and performed everything on the CD, which is a
very rewarding way to put out music, in my opinion. My music is
mostly guitar-driven, but I also put plenty of synth in it too. Some
of my favorite bands, such as Duran Duran and Pink Floyd, have always
done an amazing job of mixing guitar and synth music to create some
incredible textures.
