Hi Everyone, it's Paul.
Here's the decision (below) by the Valley Village Neighborhood Council special Ad Hoc Committee that they voted on last Wednesday 2/9/05 regarding the Woodshed variance request.
Their recommendation will be forwarded to the City of LA Zoning Administration.
It was a sad and frustrating day for me. The Ad Hoc Committee never took the time to to do the work nessesary to arrive at a well rounded informed opinion. Half of the 9 member committee never even bothered to visit the Woodshed and none of them ever took the time to read the extensive and very detailed file I made available to them which would have answered all of their questions and satisfied their concerns.
The end result of their uninformed recommendation could have a very chilling effect upon the Zoning Administrator when they make their final decision in the next few weeks on our use/parking variance request. If we don't get approved for the variance we will be forced to close.
If we do have to close, I've been informed that we'll have a few weeks to wind down. To play it safe, I'm only booking acts one month in advance for now so there won't be any sudden surprises.
*sigh*
Paul
