Hi it's Paul,
So far this has been a very promising year. Good news continues to develop
with the City of LA on a resolution to the Woodshed crisis and it is filling
my heart with hope that we will prevail. Your letter writing campaign has
been very effective. Thank you very MUCH !!!
As you all know the Woodshed is mired in a very complicated mess of
bureaucratic red tape that is easily misunderstood. A lot of baseless and
confusing information has been circulating about me recently which can
undermine the progress we have made if we let it.
To help end the confusion I will be webcasting a live question and answer
session here at the Woodshed on Sunday 1/7/07 beginning at 5:00pm sharp
where you are all invited to be members of the audience that can question
me on issues regarding the Woodshed crisis that need clarification and
further
explanation. Viewers can email live with questions as well.
These are the most difficult times ever for the Woodshed but we must keep
our fighting spirit hopeful and positive while remaining united as a
community
that is empowered with the complete and correct information. Pro-active
communication will keep our movement focused and strong. I'll see ya here.
also,....
I'm not sure if y'all know it yet but about two months ago I had to drop the
256k and 500k free live video stream. Due to the constantly increasing
number of viewers, (we're averaging between 3,500 and 5,000 viewers a day
now) the cost of providing the free 256k and 500k high resolution 24/7
webcast has become too expensive for nightly bucket donations to continue
paying for. (PayPal web donations are only about 10% of our monthly totals.)
Most people still don't know it but each additional viewer adds to the ever
growing cost of the webcast. For now we are still able to provide a free
rather fuzzy 100k DSL video webcast and even that may become too expensive,
but maybe we can get the 500k back.
An Idea
I've been thinking about a membership/subscription thingy for people who
want the 500k. Does anyone out there know how to set up the pay with a
credit
card or PayPal to watch live video shows one time and monthly
subscription/membership deal kinda like CNN or AOL where subscribers
bank accounts get dinged every month for $4.99 or something like that?
If we have a steady income stream then we can afford to re-start the 500k
and offset it's high cost, once again making us the best live music webcast
on the internet.
Thank you for the support
