What I meant was the chaos clip was what told the RMX what to do, just
like a MIDI clip would

want a bigger keyboard with 16 buttons per bank as opposed to 8, and
also more keys on the keyboard... also I found that with the "Quick
Dial" or whatever you call it, on the Compact SL, I really didnt need
to assign any of my VSTs (Ableton Live would be completely mapped, and
at the most, I would need to "Quick assign" the "quick dial" to a
parameter on a VST only for a second (to do a sweep, to edit, etc...)
-----figured problem out
saved preset on automap'd version of RMX, deleted automap'd version of
RMX, loaded non-automap'd version of RMX, loaded preset, no sound.
Proble was that deleting the automap'd version of RMX reset my "Midi
to" track assignments, which I did not take notice of at first... when
this was corrected, everything worked fine--- In
